So hello, everyone! I'm excited to create an account here after my hiatus at Neo and subsequent disappointing check-in. The only reason I go back there is to check up on the roleplay boards and reminisce about old times when James Patterson hadn't turned animal infused gifted teenagers into a young adult series. I have vivid memories of seeing thread after thread of this once very popular premise back in the mid-2000's. Well, I began developing a love for roleplaying in 2005, so it's been a while. I'm now a college sophomore with a pretty strong grasp on English thanks to my RP practice online since fifth grade. Recently I've been feeling nostalgic and uninspired, and am suffering from a combination of shyness, lack of practice, and writer's block. Creative boredom compounds my insomnia. I just wanna roleplay, man. Getting back into the lore of a world is my favorite thing to do besides making pixels come to life with stories of their own. That's the kind of newbie I am, and I hope I find or create what I am looking for in the Roleplay board here soon enough. TL;DR: Pleasure to meet you all, I can't sleep, and I tend to ramble, so... sorry about that.

Edit: I like rainy weather, thunderstorms, foggy days, chilly mornings, redwood forests, incense, tea, coffee, and warm baked goods. Winter is, of course, my favorite season. Too bad California doesn't really have seasons, amirite?

i haven't rped in ages! what kind of roleplay do you enjoy the most? i feel the lack of it when it comes to creating pet stories... it really helped a lot

Hi! During my time on Neo I never had a problem with attitudes from other users, but I look forward to becoming a part of the community here regardless. I typically enjoy science fiction and fantasy hybrid roleplays, with either very vague plots or very specific plot checkpoints the characters must experience. I treat roleplays like I'm writing a book or playing a campaign with other users, and at certain points I will illustrate whatever I can. Roleplays have served to inspire me for years.

Thanks. As for the layering issue, I was on mobile while trying to fix my avatar up, so I couldn't exactly change the layers without a cursor. :P I predict I'll be accessing this site on different devices all over the West Coast, and couldn't help it last night. I'll check out your links.

well that's great : ) i'm sure you won't have problems here then that sounds quite interesting! i never thought about the checkpoints, really well thought!

Yeah, the checkpoints are really just in case people can't come together to create their own events, and it helps keep a sort of plot arc intact and visible in case ideas run dry.

Welcome to Subeta! I recently got back into the site after all of the drama on Neopets. I really like it here and find that the community is a lot more friendly and helpful. As for roleplaying, I used to do it some on Neo, even had guilds for it. But it was so hard with all the strict rules in regards to what was and was not acceptable that I quit. Maybe I'd like to try it again, I don't know.

However, hope you enjoy your time here! There really is quite a lot to do. :)
