Okay this is my second shot at making a cw, I got kinda frustrated cause most of the ears on this site are private so I made my own lol.. but I had issues with resizing the Icon for it.. I would like some input.

this is just so cuteeee. Im no artist but I think this is gonna be hotcakes ;v;! do you think you could throw me a ping when you release it? ;0
Thank you :) and yes I could thats no problem at all. I think I need a someone whos good at coloring to help me tbh lol Im still learning -_-;
I would say to simply look up on-site ears, and see how they are shaded - most of them have about the same proportions shadow/highlights, and this should help you a lot!
Here are some examples:
I'd suggest also thinning out the lineart of the pearls as well, to make them a bit more delicate-looking.
It's super cute by the way, would love a ping when this is released! n_n (and if you have any questions regarding shading or anything else, feel free to ping / mail me!)
Thank you very much and can do.. ^_^; Ill fix the lines on the pearls thats no problem.. when I try to shade it just doesn't look right :C and sadly I can't get the item icon to look right either it gets kinda fuzzy im new to this lol sorry XD
Actually, a bunch were one batch, so it's less private so much as harder to find someone selling any copies.
I agree with everything said, though you might want to thicken the lineart of the ears themselves, considering the size of your canvas. Once you downsize, the lineart will more than likely disappear or appear pixellated.
The shading is a bit too soft, so I'd suggest using cellshading since that's what the staff requires! It's adorable so far! ^^
Yeah well psh same thing lol XD and yeah I like a big canvas ._. I use sai XD <3 and im really trying to get cell shading down im just having all sorts of issues. and thank you so much for the help! :D <3
I have no problem with that, considering most of us use a large canvas for our CWs. XD Much easier to draw on and just downsize.
Yea, I like using SAI for my CWs since it produces really smooth lines! Good program to use. ^^ And np!
agreed :o but I wanna learn how to use photoshop to color.. <3
