I would love for the 2009 and 2011 tabs in the Steamworks Menagerie to be open for shopping. I didn't even realize they were missing until I was on SL looking up coreseted items. I came across this and wanted to buy it, clicking the link that says it restocks in the Steamworks Menagerie only find that it is, in fact, not there. I don't really understand why those tabs are not there?

EDIT Also the 2010 items. I don't know why I thought the only item, at all, was the key.

The 2010 items aren't there either, the only reason it shows is for the Yunium Key. The way it sounds, I don't think it would be possible to rename that tab (but I'd love it to be renamed if possible)

But yeah while I would like to have all the tabs open forever, I understand why things have been retired though I'd like to see them come back someday. I don't think there's anything specific I need from them but it's always nice to bring things back.

The prices for most of the 2009 and the other years were extremely low (to the point it was cheaper to use sP rather than trinkets) but if that has changed it would be nice to see them brought back

But other holiday shops haven't retired full years of items, have they? Why is the Menagerie different? Plus, the New Year shop was filled with older items that were not there before so I don't think it would be unreasonable for the older Menagerie items to come back changed prices or not.

I personally wouldn't be against the prices being raised if they brought all the items back. There's a number of items from those years (2010 included) that are on my wishlist, and others that are not on there but I would buy for sure.

Esther's shop retires the oldest year stocking every Vesnali. I think they were retired not only because the prices were low but that + the fact that the Menagerie was getting kind of crowded. I think theychose not to retire the Lounge items because there are far less items added per year there.

I didn't know that about Vesnali, which is a bummer to find out.

Still keeping my fingers crossed that maybe, they could, possibly, maybe, open it up, even with changed prices for possibly, the duration of of the festivities. :)

I wouldn't be against them bringing back items from those years, but I hope they'll wait until next year if they decide to do that. I'm drowning in the items that are stocked there already because there are so many that I still need. I hope they do bring back those years eventually, and that they'll retire the older stuff that's already in the Menagerie, but... not until next year, please.

These items shouldn't be brought back. Staff announced those items would be retired, from the news last year:

Quote
Note: Steamworks Menagerie, Libertine Lounge, and Migrating Masks will remain open for two weeks after the Masquerade comes to an end, and then close for the season. At closing, the 2011 items from the Steamworks Menagerie will be retired. The Libertine Lounge has agreed to bring back their entire stock for next year.

The 2009-2010 items were already retired before the event last year. This can be confirmed here:

I'm confused about that news post saying that the menagerie, lounge, and mask shop would close for the season. Did they mean this literally 'cause I've been slowly buying things in those shops for the last 6 months or so... should I have not had access to them?

There was a shitstorm about the shops closing and staff decided to keep them open

We had literally 5 years to buy the 2009 stock, I think it's fair that they retired for good.

They can bring them back but for sp, and a little bit expensive = sp sink.

But not for tokens, the items are available, and can be found in many shops/galleries/wardrobes.
