I guess we can call this a "kinda old Subeta users reminisce over old Subeta stuff" thread.

I almost can't believe I've been on this site since 2007, and I am going to tell you, I really, really like how simple quests have become. They weren't overly difficult or impossible, but it was always a little pain in the butt to keep copying and pasting into separate tabs to find the items you wanted.

Anyway, what features do you like today as opposed to the past Subeta, or what you remember from then as opposed to now?

Heh, I understand why the changed it and all, but honestly I miss the silly little blurp that used to be on the Prize Get vending machine. I cannot remember exactly what it said but it was something about "We talk English real good" that sounded like a very bad translation. I giggled every time I read it.

I also absolutely love the simplicity of the quests, and also that when doing Shinwa's quests - her bracelet is an addition item, instead of replacing the quests reward. That was a nice change.

I still remember the garbage I drew on the oekaki, and I remember I idolized Kaydee's art. She had a really distinctive style, wonder if she even plays subeta anymore.

And I liked the pet art contest that went along with it if I'm remembering correctly (???), even though I never won.

I don't miss the trivia though. no I don't want to identify a 20x20 square from a random-ass page tyvm

I miss the trivia prizes. Some of them were sooo good. And I really do like how easy the quests have become.

Alright then. Back in my day Blake Steele looked like a magician and a conman. That was before he got himself a tan and a stubble. I kinda miss his opera cloak and top hat, to be honest. It would be nice if he got them back, if only as a Morostide outfit. And now, whilst trying to find his old artwork, I accidentally stumbled on a bunch of ancient news posts from 2005 about a site event I'd never heard about. It seems to involve Steele, The Hustler, SAI and some sort of a...giant underground monster? And here I thought that I knew the early history of this place quite well.

Love how easy quests are now! I actually do them...lol

I love how we can have more pets now. Was only 10 tops when I first joined. Now I have 21 xD Still want more but eh... ALL THE PETS! :D

There's been 7 new species and several new colours since I joined which makes choices MUCH harder!

I wish books and other items were still under 400sP.. the rabid inflation we went thru I still don't love, but it has at least stabilised.

Well I've been only playing for a year, but I do miss how the site reloaded when you went a site back.

And I really prefer the revamped battle quests, it's good to have the difficult battles at the end at once.

I miss my old custom avatar.

Therefore I love that I can have nearly 50 Pets now. XD

Im new here but I think its awesome to see and hear stuff about what this site was like!

I enjoy how easy quests are to complete now, too. I do feel a bit nostalgic when I browse around the site, thinking of what the NPCs originally looked like and gazing in wonderment at the newest revamps. xD

I love love love the changes to quests! I actually can fit them in daily now, whereas they used to be just too time consuming! I do miss the trivia a lot though, and I'm not 100% happy with the site layouts, I think they need work, but I love the custom option to edit the layout as we please, so I can live with that! I also love the increase in pet slots allowance, and I love the loyalty boxes!

Subeta is changing really fast; I used to be on hiatus every year/couple of months and coming back with confusion because the site changed or had new feature(s).

Stuff that I love now are custom wearables (LOL), new arts for the site and ALL THE LOVELY PETS (different/new species and more experiments). xD

I miss the trivia a lot and the little drawing board we had. I do agree with the quests being easier, I love that.

April 26th will be my ten year anniversary on this site! I, too, echo the users who miss the trivia -- I got 84/600 questions correct before they retired that feature and I'm proud of every single one. :)

I also enjoy the ease of questing now that the search shop features are so easy to access and I definitely love the main shop discount buffer! The plushies were my first obsession, but I've grown into loving my sticker collection. The achievements have been a great incentive since their release although I don't finish all of them and I doubt I ever will.

The site-wide events bring me back consistently on certain months for Morostide or Luminaire, but... I guess the fact that I've been here for nearly a decade is testament to the addictive nature of this site. Despite and because of its flaws!

My favorite addition since I've been here is that magical "add to wardrobe/collection" button....but the great little shop search links in quests are definitely a second favorite. xD

Oh...and CWs...and the new "skin" system.

...how does anyone even pick one thing? D:

I do miss the trivia though, I had a lot of fun (usually...when they weren't...y'know...math. <.< ) figuring those out.
