Like a dozen other people I'm joining subeta after playing neopets for 14 years. I love to customize and I really like the art and the way the layering works here on subeta. And of course it's awesome that the cash shop items can be purchased from other users for sP. (Is there anyone else out there who is loving the no gift box thing?) Any other neopets customizer converts here?

I've known about subeta for a really really long time (from other neopets players). I can't believe I never joined before.

I'm still feeling a bit lost but I like it here on subeta! Anyone know of any good guides for making sP and other random subeta stuff?

Hello Amy! Welcome to Subeta. If you're simply looking to put it in a textbox like format, you can click on your username to redirect yourself to your profile. There's the option of "Edit Profile" in the header that'll let you move things around as well as add stuff. One of those things should throw up a box for you to customize/input whatever you want as text with coding (if you so choose to do so).

You'll find that there are a lot of users here on Subeta that used to be on Neopets as well! I myself am one of them (though I haven't been there probably over 10 years). I'm not too sure what you mean by neopets customizer converts-- so I think i'll let someone else tackle that. Sorry.

Oh don't worry about feeling lost. I felt the same way when I first started on this site. Just take it slow and feel free to ask questions when you got them. Hmm, as for guides to making sp. There are a few out there, though I do not have the link to it. I can tell you at the top of my head: Quests are generally the way to go, especially Sarah's Quests (for new and poor users) is good for making SP. I'd also recommend Wizard Quests as you can get something called Wizard Tokens from him. These tokens can be used in vending machines to get items as well as spent at the Token Shop (which restocks rarely, but always has nice goodies in it when it does restock). Games wise, start Item Hunt as it's a great way to make sp-- up to a certain point. You can always quit when it's not profitable anymore and start back from level 1. It also gives you items every 5 levels. The same items every time you reset it, but nevertheless it does give you weapons which you can use for your pet in the Coliseum. There's also Caliph's Tomb which is real good for making sp. You can get up to 20k for each time you clear the board, and send score up to 10 times a day. That means you can make up to 200k from that game. I'd also suggest Memory but it's being rather buggy at the moment. Overall, i'd suggest at least try all the games 'cuz quite a few of them have achievements. Some achievements can give you books, clothing, and other misc. items.

Whew. That's probably a lot to take in so i'll stop there unless you got any other questions.

I'll have to keep playing with it. I keep just getting the option to change the title of that box and not the stuff inside of it. However, I think what you're saying is that I have to change that with code? I'm just going to have to read more about it.

Ah if you left neo 10 years ago you probably missed the whole pet conversion thing. They converted the pets so that they could wear clothes and whatnot. (A lot of people hated it b/c cheaper/basic pets didn't get the choice to remain unconverted.) Over on neo they call it customization. Not sure what they call dressing your HA here but it's essentially the same thing (only you can only have one item per zone and you can't control the layering). Then there's the whole purchased with real money (neocash/nc) vs purchased with np thing I won't go into too much but basically you can't trade np for nc items. It's so much freer here! By converts I just meant people who like the "customizing" features here better than neo.

I've been doing wizard and saggitarius quests and vending the tokens but mostly to build up a wardrobe and get books for my pet. Sarah won't let me come around any more. I think I need to learn more about vending b/c from what I read I think I'm missing how that is profitable. It seems like I would make more just selling the wizard tokens.

You did it right. My ping is just weird. You have to use an underscore instead of a period. Don't sweat it though. Most people get my ping wrong.

Nonono. When you click add content there should be an option to add a box that has a title as well as text area for you to write stuff in. (There's one on my profile with links I stuck in).

Probably-- haha. Ohhhhhhh ok. Well over here you can't dress up your pets. Just your HA. You're limited to 2 items per layer (Unless you have a gold account then you get one more layer). But wow, that sounds rather limiting. Ohhhhhh ok. I'm not too sure. Maybe they'll be other users that drop in that'll know. (I'm not really in the know with those types of things).

Yes. If you can get into Saggitarius' quests, Sarah won't let you do her quests anymore. You have too much sp! Ahh ok. Well, with vending I mainly do it to get items. Sometimes rare items get shoved into the vending machines which sell for a few million. There's also a vending machine that has some really rare weapons in it which sell for quite high. Overall, I don't vend for sp. All my vended items get fragmented into Humming Crystals to get stuff in the Crystal Shop which recently was just emptied and restocked with some new items. (eyy another feature for you)

Not bad! Memory also gives you around 20k+ per round if you finish under 20 moves. Oh yeah, if you have enough sp for Sagg-- try doing Maleria's quests. She sometimes gives out some expensive items you can sell. Speaking of expensive items-- Library quests tend to give out rare and expensive items as well (not very profitable in paying you back in pure sp on the spot though). Try Shinwa's quests as well. Do them daily (Start tomorrow if you've already maxed out your quests for Wizard, Maleria, Pete, or Library). You have a chance of getting pet buffs from her. They're items that can sell for a pretty penny. Quentin also has a chance of giving out Mage Amulets which sell quite nicely as well. Or you can give them to the mage in Shadowglen for a chance to get a Tome which sells really well since it's another pet stat booster. (It is not guaranteed that you'll get the tome though!)

And you joined Subeta at a great time. We're getting ready for our annual Masquerade event. It should start sometime in the next week. It's a steamwork themed event, where users dress up their avatars and 'dance' with other users for trinkets. Then you can spend the trinkets HERE and HERE.

Oh I see. I still don't get the "name: unkown" if you can't just change it. I used to get really into coding lookups, pet pages, and pet lookups on neo but I don't have the time now that I have a very busy 16 month old, lol. pokes my profile Like that?

What's the max on quests? I see the 10/10 on the wizard and Saggi but I haven't even attempted any other (except the special weekend quest over the weekend).

10 quests is the maximum for all of the item getting quests so, you're going to have to do Shinwa's quest tomorrow. (It's once a day and she asks for an item. To get that item you have to do the quest of whoever she redirects you to).

Customization is my favorite thing to do! And I love that you can preview things right on the site. With neo you have to use fan sites. Subeta is sooo much more advanced! (And awesome.)
