There is already a thread right now asking for "Add to Beanbag Collection", and if that one isn't there yet it does need to be. Guess I just hadn't noticed, since the other collectibles and the wardrobe already have an "Add to". Anyways that is not what I am posting about, I think it would be very helpful if this same sort of function worked with reading a book to your main pet. Not sure if the books work differently than the collections, but assuming they work about the same way, it seems to make sense to me.

By "main pet" I assume you mean the active pet? I don't think I'd like it like this. People switch their active pets around sometimes, and it would suck to accidentally read a book to the wrong pet.

Rather than reading it to the active pet there should a button to read the book, but it takes you to the same list of pets as if you read in from your inventory.

Yea active pet, to me it seems like the simplest way to do something like that. I didn't realize other people change their active pet a lot. My main idea for saying active pet instead of having all of them pop up, is some people have a lot of pets, and the "Add to" dialog box is a single line not multiple ones.

Since my active pet is not my reader, I don't support this. :/

No thank you. I think it's fine as is. If your pet already has read a book they simply won't appear on the "read to" list.

I'd like this. I read to my active pet almost exclusively. I also don't understand not supporting something that doesn't apply to you.

That seems like an important reason to voice a non support.

I only read to my active pet, but having all the pets there doesn't reall guy affect me much so I don't want to see it changed

Maybe they can let us set a default pet for it, and not the active pet, that you can change all the time.. for example a simple page at the user dashboard -

Which pet would you like to read books for it? list of your pets choose one Confirm.

It can be with food too, why not?

I don't think it was a suggestion to change it so that you can only read the book to your active pet. That WOULD be annoying! >_<

As I understand it, the suggestion was that when you buy a book, you can read it to your active pet straight after buying it. Just as you can add clothes to your wardrobe, or plushies to your collection. It wouldn't change the ability to read books from your inventory, just as you can still add items to wardrobe or collections from inventory.

This would be great. I've wished there was something like this for food items actually. If it could be done like this, I'd totally be in support of the idea.

Glad to see a few people liked my idea, for a second there I was thinking I was the only one who read to the active pet.

summed up my idea exactly. I don't wish to disable the ability to read to other pets, just a way to read to your active pet in the same way wardrobe and collection items work. It could be quite useful during quests, when you are not certain if your pet has read a certain book or not. I know I personally have gone back and forth a few times when doing quests, to see whether my pet had read the book yet or not. I do however concied the fact that I did not realize that certain people changed their active pets a lot. On that front, I quite liked the idea came up with.

As stated, this wouldn't remove the other ways to read to your pet, it would be like adding a new trading card to your collection when buying it from a user shop. I don't think making it more difficult to read to other pets would be supported by anyone.

I wasn't totally convinced this would be all that helpful, but I absolutely love 's idea; that would come in very handy for me for Gourmand, since I'm no longer focused on the achievement but I already came this far, I might as well go for the most recent tier too

That part I get now (I thought it was refering to the Inventory menu) but I still don't think restricting it to the active pet would be as beneficial as listing all your pets.

Oh, I like this. I only have two pets, so it's not like I'm in much danger of reading to the wrong one, but the easier it is to read to my "main" pet (my second one is pretty much only so I can do the "give your pet [x toy] to play with" Drills quests, oops), the better for me, lol.

I'm not sure it would work to list all pets on that page, just because some people have like eighty pets (or whatever the limit is, lol). It would work for someone like me and my two, but I can see it being huge and slow to load for people with a lot of pets. Being able to set that button to say "Read to [designated book pet]" would probably work better.

I support this, yes, it's very annoying to buy a MASSIVE amount of books and then having to go to your inventory to read every single one of them to your pet. Just buy, hit read and close the tab, a dream coming true.
