For me, the one movie I can not deal to watch is the 1974 version of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The movie makes me extremely nervous. 😰 As for my other half it's The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
What would you say is yours?
The Strangers. It's that movie with Liv Tyler where there's out in the cabin in the middle of nowhere and random people wearing creepy masks attack them. That creeps me out because I grew up in the mountains/woods of New York so the location hits close to home. Also, because this is genuinely something I am terrified of.. being out in the middle of nowhere with no way to get help and being attacked by maniacs in masks. It's the kind of horror movie that can really happen and isn't farfetched.
Also.. there's one part of Insidious. It's during that Tip-Toe Through the Tulips part. I can't stand that song. It's so creepy!
But any movies that are in the horror genre that have to do with medical things or asylums are my absolute downfall. Even the newer House on Haunted Hill creeps me out because of the slight asylum themes.
I agree with about The Strangers. It was the first movie to ever leave me feeling uneasy throughout the entire film. I'm pretty sure it was the potato sack mask that did it for me.
Ugh potato sack masks! It reminds me of those huge chainsaw wielding maniacs in Resident Evil 4. Totally unsettling.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is actually my favorite horror film.
Horror films that normally keep me up at night are the ones that have to do with possession. I don't enjoy blood and gore, but I can tolerate it and move on once the film is over. But things like The Exorcist or The Omen and other possession-related things NOPE NOPE NOPE.

So you wouldn't care to sit through The Exorcism of Emily Rose. It makes my hubby edgy.
The Strangers was a bad trip (not the drug induced type). Totally messed up! Another movie that's messed upped is 'Funny Games'. What these characters did was SO wrong. The movie actually mad me emotionally angry.ðŸ˜
I've never heard of Funny Games. What's it about?
It's a home invasion horror movie. Two preppy guys (I'll say kids) are invited but not really invited into a home and don't leave. It takes off from there with these two guys playing sadistic games with the family. Very demented and it sort of made me feel like I shouldn't have been watching what I did. In a way I suppose you might say I felt violated too. Crazy film.
I can't think of any movie scarring me or giving me the creep. I was 5 when I started to watch things like Alien and Halloween.
Though, there was a red mask in Incidious that made me uncomfy until all I could see was Darth Maul face .. It ended up being funny.
I refuse to watch any of the Paranormal Activity movies or anything similar. Even the trailers unnerve me.
I don't even believe in ghosts, but everything about the evil-spirited types still freaks me out.
Hahaha You will laugh @ me.
I hate hate hate the movie IT. I still cannot watch it. I am terrified of clowns now. I first watched that show when I was about 10 and cannot bring myself to watch it again
The horror genre scares me, but it's the psychological horrors / thrillers that legitimately creep me out. Solaris, Coherence, Mulholland Drive... to name a few.
You are definitely not alone. ;O; I will not touch anything with scary clowns. I'd rather watch a creepy zombie, vampire, ghost, or chain saw-wielding maniac than a scary clown. :C
I HEAR U!!! Love me a good zombie show.
Oh god, Misery still gets me (Kathy Bates was sooooo good in it). The book also gave me the heebs something fierce.
I'm not really scared of The Thing (1982) anymore, but oh man. It's such a good thriller and the special effects are pretty darn good.
