I just heard that in Spring 2015, there will be a new season of Digimon. But it is going to be a season in honour of the first Digimon season ever, Digimon adventure. The name of the new season will be Digimon Adventure tri and it is going to be a direct sequel to Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02. Therefore, the old main characters from Digimon Adventure will reunite with their Digimon :) Digimon used to be my absolute favorite (next to Sailor Moon) when I was a kid. I loved season 1 and 2, but from season 3 onwards, I was pretty disappointed with the Anime. I'm really excited for this (maybe even more excited than I was for Sailor Moon Crystal) and I really hope they will make something good of it (and not ruin it). It feels a bit weird though, considering the ending of Digimon Adventure 02 (which I really loved). Also, the art style has changed considerably. Is anyone else as excited for this? :)

I'm super excited for it. I loved season 1, I didn't really enjoy season two, three was pretty good, four was terrible, five was okay and the others were okay but not good enough to warrant me finishing them. xP

At the same time, I'm not sure I'm sold on the art style, though... At least from the posters I've seen. The humans/Digimon look... A little strange? The human faces are kinda plain looking and some of the Digimon look kinda mishapen... The scenery looks pretty nice though.

All in all I'm hoping for the best, though. n_n

have you seen tsuritama or cencoroll? because they are the studio who will handle the new animation. i mean i'm always up for different styles, ie mononoke, ping pong the animation so i guess that's why i like the new look so much.

Oh I hadn't heard about this! I loved Digimon back in the first two seasons. So much nostalgia thinking about it... I remember back when I was in middle school it was on TV in the mornings and I almost missed the bus trying to finish watching the first episode when Angemon digivolved... :) I did like that art style though so I'm not sure about the new one...

I loved this show as a child! I remember first watching it in preschool. (Man, that makes me feel OLD.)

My favorite season was Digimon Frontier, and then the season after that... I forget what that one was called. But I remember trying so hard to find the season online because it wasn't playing on Disney Channel.

If they create another show with these old characters and it ends up being successful, I would love to see them make a sequel for Frontier as well.

Ugh! Yes! I am SO excited. Did everyone see the new trailer? Season 4, Digimon Frontier was by far my favorite! But I will be pretty emotional watching this!

i'm a Tamers fan myself but there's no denying the nostalgia power of Adventure :'D i was pretty disappointed it changed from a tv series to a set of movies, since it ended up getting delayed... like, i don't think this means they went the extra mile to make it shiny for the big screen, rather just releasing several eps in one go cuz they weren't in time for the intended season? idk but i rly wanna see Taichi again haha

Actually everything that happened after Adventures 01 and 02 was just "meh" for me and I stopped watching it completely. I'm pretty excited for this now though.
