Hiya! I too come from the barren wastelands of Neopia seeking refuge. I've kinda got the hang of a lot of things so far, but I needed to lose my posting virginity somehow so I figured this was a good spot (: And somehow I managed to initially post this as an empty post, so obviously a great first go. I heard of this site on neo years and years ago but I never gave it a shot and now I'm super regretting that because this site is amazing wtf why did the world keep it from me for so long. Anyway, feel free to post any links to things that you think would be helpful for me and whatnot. Y'all seem super friendly and awesome and I hope to spend a lot of time here in the future!

Welcome to Subeta! I migrated over from Neo about 7.5 years ago (I think around when pet customization first started) because the art on Subeta was so much nicer. I remember seeing some glacier pets on the news page and totally freaking out because of how pretty they were, haha.

Subeta Lodge is the best place to view all of the items and pet colors on the site! It's hugely helpful. There are also tons of guides on the forums- they're usually locked at the top. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Everyone here is pretty friendly and happy to help out. :)

Thanks guys. Yeah I see that there are loads of people coming/already here from neopets, it's kind of funny. Oh how the mighty have fallen c; And someone apparently sent me a gift! Must have been someone from here since I've posted nowhere else so thank you to the mysterious person who did that :D

Welcome :) I've been a member of Neo since Oct 2000 and joined Subeta in Oct 2009 I believe :)

At one time there wouldn't of been a day that I didn't log into Neo, but I lost interest in it a couple years ago, then with the selling of it, and the site always crashing, lag, bleh I can't be bothered with it anymore heh

Now I spend all my time over here :)

Yeah the lag over there has really been something else. I tried sticking it out in the hopes that it would get better but I think it's well past time they should have gotten it sorted out, so I give up. It's nice to be on a website that doesn't make me feel like I'm stuck in 1999 - Thank you for the stickers! :D

Yeah the forums are definitely better here. No weird broken filters, and you don't have to only use words that you can say in front of very impressionable 3 year olds... lol. And the people definitely seem very nice (: I had a premium account there too. I cancelled it and signed up for a gold account here. Half the price and the money goes toward a site that actually deserves it - win/win.

Yeah, I've heard it's changed quite a bit.

I'd probably use the word 'deteriorated'. Haha. Every time the site takes a step in a positive direction, it immediately takes ten steps back. A lot of parts of the site are glitchy, broken, or just completely down. And trying to do your dailies takes like an hour with the lag. Oh well! This site is like everything I wish neopets could have been, so I'll take it :p

Yeah definitely! It feels much more active than neo somehow even though there might still be more users there (who knows, the user counter is broken lol). There are lots of cool things to do, I love that you customise your avatar rather than your pets (and the sheer amount of clothing!! don't have to worry about same-ness) and I love the achievements and I love the pet art and I love that the staff are so transparent and communicative and I just love this website already. <3 I was confused about the navigation for like my first hour here but I think I got it down pat now heh :D

Yeah, it's definitely easier to use. OMG the clothes on this sight o.o Some of the clothing is just to die for and the pets! Just wait until you get into customizing your pets with all the overlays and coding , it'll be confusing at first but it get's SO much easier (or you can pay others to do it for you). You can really create stories (if your into that sort of stuff) and customize pretty much anything to suit you.

Yeah the customisation of the pets is awesome - yesterday I was thinking about how I love the galactic pets but I hate the stuff swirling around them. And then I realised that if I really wanted to I could use an overlay to just get rid of that. Totally cool. And I already foresee myself spending way too much on clothing for my avatar ;-; how do people even decide on what customisation they want to keep!? The only thing keeping me from constantly changing mine up is that I'm broke right now but I know as soon as I have a good amount of sp it's all gonna be gone into my wardrobe haha.

Definitely enjoy the "brokeness" while you can. That money can be gone in an instant and then you'll get all sad. Ex: "Oh my god look at this new dress I got...wait, where did all my money go?"

Haha I definitely am gonna have a problem with buying things that I'm never gonna actually wear too. I'll be like 'BUT I MIGHT WANT TO USE IT SOMEDAY.'
