I remember playing this game on a Gameboy as a child and it stuck with me because the music (to me) was really catchy. It wasn't a regular Pokemon game. It was a very simple sidescrolling game and I remember the cartridge had a picture of Squirtle, Poliwhirl (or one of its evolutions) and another Pokemon which I can't recall. You played as Pikachu and the idea was to get through the four levels, each of which had a boss at the end. Each level also had more than one part. I think there were three. I remember that one level was called Veldt, another might have been Plateau (or Tableland) and one was probably called Woods. The enemies usually varied from level to level, and most could be beaten by bouncing twice on their heads. As far as I can recall, the enemies were Electrode (or Voltorb) Diglett, Pidgey (or Pidgeyotto), Bellsprout (these could fire at you) and Staryu (or Starmie). The last one was unkillable. (there were more enemies, but these are the ones I remember) Pikachu had three lives, which were represented by Pokeballs, and three electric attacks. You could also get extra lives and attacks randomly throughout the level. An electric attack could kill all visible enemies. I can only recall two bosses, though I'm pretty sure i got further than that. One was maybe a Charmander or Charmelion- the graphics made it very difficult to tell, and the other was probably a Beedrill. The first one could flame at you, while the Beedrill charged at you from the air. Both could be killed by jumping on them at least three-six times, or by electric attacks. Does anyone know which game I'm talking about? Or better still, own it?
Hmm, sounds like a bootleg game! But i'm not quite sure...
It probably is. But I can't find it anywhere. There aren't even any mentions of it online.
Perhaps it is this? click Looks like the game you described...
Thank you, but no, that's not it. Similar graphics, though. The game was more... sepia toned is the only way I can put it. And the sprites were a lot less detailed.
Yea, sounds like a bootleg, I've never heard of it though. LoL Wish I could be more help. ^^'
