I've never done this before (despite having been on this site for quite a while)... but I think I'm finally ready to start working on some pet profiles. And I'd like to start with one of my favorite pets, Silent Oasis. :)

Silent Oasis is Common Experiment (the freaky large cat with the mane made of worms). I'd like a fairly detailed and somewhat realistic overlay in which SilentOasis is hiding among some palm tree fronds. He should still have visible color, but be shadowed in the leaves. I'd like the palm leaves generally framing him (with possibly one thin leaf in front to sort of "hide" him. I'd also like the tips of the leaves, while mostly lush greens, to have a clear essence of decay on them. Almost as if the're tainted or diseased. As for his expression, I'd like a mix of a hunting big cat, but with a little evil mixed in if that makes sense. A dark look that says "There's something wrong with me, and I know it".

My general story concept (if it helps to flush the overlay vision out- and as a warning, it's a little dark) is that there is a lush looking oasis in the middle of the Saharan desert, with nothing but sand everywhere, and the pyramids visible in the very far distance. Silent Oasis lives in this oasis, which has been tainted over time- the oasis is silent because he kills everything that tries to visit. I'm still flushing out the details of the story, but that should hopefully give potential artists an idea of the feel I'm trying to achieve with this pet. That little bit of decay, that little bit of insanity, in what otherwise seems like a normal reality... is the main theme for this particular pet.

(And worry not, one of my other pet projects is something far less dark... I just wanted to do this one first!)

I'm looking to pay in pure sP, though we can certainly make deals for sP and items if you want (I've got a pretty extensive collection of weapons I'm selling). And if you're interested in doing more art for this particular pet as far as getting him ready for a pet spotlight entry, I'm all ears. I'm still figuring out what that entails, (coding, background art, etc), but I know I'll need it at some point.
