I wanted to start my own topic because I'm so excited about this.

Just a little while ago I read the 1000th book to my adorable glade ontra: A_Penny_for_your_Thoughts. After giving her a name like that I thought she needed to be the most "thinking" and reading pet that I have.

I also have 7 other pets and they ALL have intelligence levels of at least 500 so I'm pretty jazzed about that as well. In fact, Penny's intelligence is up to 1026 now. Hooray!!

So I thought I'd ping a few friends to let them know that I've achieved the next tier of one of my most important goals. My next most important one is to have 15K unique items and I have 14982 in my Unique Gallery. If I were to go around and "collect" things from other places on my account I could probably hit 15K today, but that's OK, no hurry.

Mainly I'm very very excited about the reading achievement, and I still have a LONG way to go to get to the top level. I'm not even sure what that is. I got lost looking for the reading achievement and then I got sidetracked.

So, to (who has given me MORE books than anyone) I thank you SO much!

And to who I adore just as much as that guy Survivor, and who has been another truly awesome friend here, as well as and (thank you for the kisses/hearts) (thank YOU as well for kisses/hearts) and who is just plain a real life good friend, thank you all for being in my life! ❤

For the "Very Punny" title, you just have to get in your stickers album all the punny stickers from the Quest Shop in the Pete section. :)

Edit: also I forgot, I don't know, either you have to check your stickers album or you have to go the achievements page and check the "required" items for this achievement to get it. You'll let me know. :)

Well thank you for letting me know about that. I don't usually collect stickers so I don't pay attention to any achievements that are related to stickers.

In fact I don't pay attention to MOST of the achievements, and the achievements page confuses me.

And OMG you just stuck me with a BUNCH of stickers! I saw those little bubbles popping up one after another! Thank you SO much. You are a total doll. ❤

Congratulations on the VERY awesome achievement! 1k books in no easy feat!

Congrats on such a great milestone! I've been working on my main reader since I started 4 years ago and have reached 1259 books read.. Don't even want to think about all the time and money spent to get there haha. Penny is only 2 years old so you've done much better than me! It looks like the top tier readers are at almost 1700 books read.. That's depressing as I thought I was much closer! Looks like I need to catch up!

Congrats on all those books! :D It takes a lot of work to get that many, that's for sure.

Good luck with your next goal too, the unique items. I'm kind of working on that too, and like you, i'm sure i could empty out my wardrobe and vault and get there a lot faster but i'm not in that much of a hurry either. I'm kind of trying to stick to a theme with that gallery too.

Heh, i went to check on my progress just now and i unlocked the 15k tier of Super Shop but that includes duplicates (it's mostly Survival flowers and minions)...i'm still only a little over 2,000 for the unique items one, so it's gonna be a while, lol.

Congratulations :) I'm very glad you reached that achievement and also congratulations in advance for the 15,000 unique items! What will your next goals be?

Ooh that's exciting! Congrats on getting to 1000 books :3 its definitely not an easy achievement to go for. Hope you make the rest of the tiers.

Thank you! It IS a lot for a 2 yr old pet, and thanks for noticing. I know that you'll get there with yours, I don't have to work so I have more time. I don't spend much on other achievements so that's helped. Books and hoarding, those are my things. And it doesn't hurt that I can buy most of the CS books.

Thank you and congrats on unlocking 15K in super shop. I have to admit that I am SO focused on hoarding that I was up to the top tier of that one after only 5 months. But I was also vainly trying to get this account caught up to my first one and after a year away I was itching to hoard. I love buying cheap crap, lol, and still do. I save it for the recycle beast. I always look for your shop when I buy, it's easy to spot.

Good luck to you with YOUR unique items. It takes up most of my time here sometimes, and I rarely do quests. It can be very tedious at times, but I just plug along like a dumb mule, lol! :)

My NEXT goal? Well I'll keep on going with the books, and perhaps I'll be top reader someday! I'd like to get to 2000, but who knows if that's even possible.

I'll probably keep going with the unique hoard too. I'm sort of unable to stop with it, I'm obsessed. I say it's too much, but before you know it I'll be going for 20K.

Thank you SO much and thank you for all the kisses. I was kissing furiously in the beginning of the event and then I sort of lost my ambition. I have a lot of hearts from prior years. I'm too busy hoarding to spend the currencies from events (I don't just buy everything, I'm too meticulous about looking everything up to see if I have it or not). When I'm buying I'm also looking for shops that I know, such as Lucky Ltd. Fortunately (no pun intended) yours is easy to find! :)

I wish I could focus my collecting on just a few things.. but I can't and MUST HAVE IT ALL! Haha.. but seriously, I have a problem. :P

Well, I know that if I were younger I would be no different than anyone else here and I'd want it all too. I had so much more energy and brain power (faster thinking and faster ability to understand what everything means when I read about it) when I was young.

It's just easier for me to do a couple simple things. I try to read about other things and I know it would be easy to collect wardrobe or feed my pet for the gourmand, but I don't care about doing that.

All the other new stuff, such as when they have contests for designing things or when they introduce new things about minions (no clue what that's about) are all things that I have no idea how to do (designing on the comp? drawing on a comp?) forget it, I have NO clue, and I don't know how to code most EVERY thing. So, being almost 60 makes certain aspects of life easier. I just simplify.

But seriously, I have a problem too. I think that most all of us who play here compulsively have a problem. I know that I'm obsessive and have OCD, etc., but I figure that being obsessive about an online game is MUCH better than gambling in real life or engaging in any number of other "habits" that might get me in trouble.

Actually, sitting in a chair for hours is NOT good for me, but oh well. :)

You're welcome for the kisses. I got sort of tired of the event after about a week and I can't believe it's still going, but I guess some people are really glad. One of my other friends said she's working on her third disease already. I had NO clue that you could get more than one per year. I don't know anything about the skins. But maybe next year. Trying to learn how to do things by reading forums is almost impossible. I can't focus and usually don't understand stuff. This is very frustrating for someone who was always an A student and high achiever. Ugh!

I'm under the impression that there's some way to easily see what books your pet has read and what she hasn't, but maybe it's not that simple. I don't know.

For today I give up worrying about it. It's dumb to let a game "get to me" but I've been feeling upset cause I can't seem to follow the instructions. Well that's the problem. I've noticed that the computer generation seems to get by with very few instructions and so there's an entire generation of people who just do things on computers intuitively (or based on what they know) but for someone like me who didn't grow up with it, figuring out how to do things is like learning another language w/out a dictionary or any tips.

A lot of people who have grown up with computers have no clue how to even explain things to someone like me. The language and terms are usually things that don't make sense. Oh well. I think I know someone who might be able to help. Just depends if time is available.

Gwendelynn, updating the books on Subetalodge can be tricky! I'll try to explain it the best I can. Even the first time for me took a little while to learn.

Make sure you are logged in to Subetalodge. Go here - http://www.subetalodge.org/mass_add Scroll down a little bit and you'll see this...

The only part you will need to use I highlighted in purple (because it's a cool colour)! The URL section. You're basically telling Subetalodge "I want you to look at this page and write down all the books on it". So you're going to link it to all the books Penny has read which you can view through her profile. These are what you need to put in the purple box:

Well last night was the last of Survival so there's no need to worry about it now ;) I was surprised you could get more than one infection. I managed to get 2 of them, so that makes me happy. Let me know if you need help with skins and other stuff, I'd be happy to walk you through it! And don't worry too much about technology. I'm 22, grew up with computers, and I still feel overwhelmed sometimes. I was never big on social media and I still prefer having a good old phone conversation with people instead of texting for hours. Guess I'm just old fashioned that way haha.
