I'd be thrilled to see some kind of weekend flash sale where we could buy the old monthly collections and donation presents from prior years. Some of the collections and their individual items are no longer available in user shops, and since there are so many of us who weren't here until more recent years it would be great to have an opportunity to purchase them now. I like that the Hustler stocks some of the items that came from old monthly collections and donation presents, but that's too limited and sporadic a source to try to complete user collections or find specific items from old monthly collections that aren't always feasible to get in user shops. A flash sale would allow people to get those items, the collections and items themselves would maintain a high rarity since the sale would be short-lived, and Subeta would benefit from the extra sales. :)
I would actually love that, there are too many items I've missed on, and I don't want to use a chance machine for a chance at getting one of the inflated minions I want
I asked for this very thing http://subeta.net/forums.php/read/818565 I was shot down relentlessly, though I will always still agree that bringing back old items = profit. Idk why people don't get it.
A ton of items are SUPER inflated, and some we can't even find for sale. This would be a huge help. :I
I like this suggestion, I don't mind to pay full price, and let ME choose what I want, let me go crazy for one weekend and spend a lot of CSC on items that I need.
The chance machine is a nice, but I never got what I wanted, and I sold the items that I got for less than the value of 150 CSC, so I lost money too..
While I'd give anything for some of the more recent ones I passed on and then regretted later, I think it should start with much older ones first. Otherwise I support this.
I never really liked the switch from the random DPs to the choose what you want Collections because they never did anything to counter, what I assume is, a very minimal amount of items like minions or Plushie/Beanbags that were bought then subsequently used, leaving almost none available on site after the month was up.
If they don't want to release things too easily, I wouldn't really want a flash sale? Like if that was the only option that'd be fine. But like, if anyone on staff has an estimate of what the items should be worth, would it be too crazy to have a Collection item shop that sells all collection items for like 500 CSC or something?
Either way, I'm for something to be done to deflate some of those unbuyable collection items.

Anything to bring the prices of some of these down, some aren't even in shops at all.

I would love a chance at getting some older collections again. I need a good handful of items for pet treasures and they either cost a fortune and a half, or none are for sale.
Personally, what should be done is to rerelease all of the January DP/Collection items in the cash shop again during all of the month of January. 250 CSC for the current year and higher for the rest.
When January starts, all of these are retired and then you pull February in
Yes!!! Please, I was on a hiatus for two years, and so much science Themed items were released 2013...2012..2014... I want them so bad!
Yes please. But I'm not sure if DPs were changed to no longer be random? But I'd really like that too. I would pay to buy the collections with items I need but not if it's going to be random.
I really like this idea! I was on hiatus for a few years and there are so many great items that I missed out on that I can't even find in shops now. I would gladly pay a little more for the chance to snag some of these items.
That's almost exactly what I suggested on my old thread, except I said to keep the older ones at the original price, and to only bring one back at a time.
But now I agree they should probably be higher than 250 csc since it would be an opportunity we wouldn't normally have at the time. And more than one old one would be nice.
If the old collections were brought back, I'd want them to be at least 500csc. The point of monthly collections is that you buy them the month they are released, if not, you should have to pay more.
Good to see I'm not alone here. :) I think it's an interesting idea to raise the price of the collections, but I think economically speaking that wouldn't be a good idea. There's a point where Subeta can hurt their profits by overpricing their items, and for people buying monthly collections for the plethora of beanbags, plushies, and stickers they hold 250 CSC is already pretty high up there. Even cash shop wearables aren't really priced higher than this, nor are minions for that matter. I understand older users wanting to maintain exclusivity of these items as much as possible, but at some point business considerations need to be factored in as well.
I've never really understood the argument that "items should be bought in the month they were released, and tsk tsk if you weren't on the site during that time. Too bad." First off, that's a really terrible business concept. I don't like to see money grab moves on sites like this anymore than the next person, but I don't think that's what this would be. Subeta is still a business that needs legit sources of cash. They have a product. There's a demand. Fill the demand and reap the profits. On top of that, some users have to wait years for these items to come available again over those who were on the site at the time they were released. That's quite the price to pay if you're trying to complete a plushie collection or finish off a certain achievement that requires an unattainable collection item, especially because it ensures you have to continue collecting any related items that are released in the cash shop in the meantime. That's a pretty significant financially burden to any user when you think about it, and all for not being on the site when the collection was first released (and prior to any proposed price increase for that matter). The monthly collections, donation presents, and their related items were never meant to be exclusive one month releases that never returned anyway, and Keith has confirmed this himself. For these reasons, I personally think that argument is a moot point.
