...by the user above you.
(I wasn't sure whether to put this here or in the Writing Discussion forum, since my original intention was to use this as an exercise to help writers beat Writer's Block. In the end I thought the best bet was to put it here since this falls more under the game category.)
The rules of the game are: ★ The user above you picks a word (you can pick any word you want or if you are stuck, here is a nifty random word generator.) ★ The user below must create a piece of writing no more than 100 words long (drabble size) in response. - This can be about anything, your pets/inanimate objects/fan fiction/etc. as long as it in some way incorporates or hints at the idea of the word the previous user has chosen.
For example, I have chosen to write about one of my pets and the word I have picked is:
Control (or lack thereof... :P)
Klo fixed his eyes hungrily in front of him, a soft glow highlighting his scarred face. He shivered and shifted uneasily. This felt more wrong than it had any right to. Why was he getting a sudden attack of conscience now? Especially after all the shit he’d done in his life. He whimpered as saliva started streaming from the corner of his mouth.
Without agonizing over it for a second longer, he grabbed the steak from the fridge and began tearing into it. Telai would have to buy himself a new steak, this one had been practically calling his name.
Your turn - beyond.
Beyond
"The answer you seek lies beyond what your eyes can see," old Master Yayin solemnly told me, his tired brown eyes squinting in the dim candlelight. "You must go as far as you can - you will know when you have reached your end."
I sighed in exasperation. "You mean I climbed all the way up this goddamn mountain just so you could tell me to keep on walking," I bit out through gritted teeth.
Master Yayin blinked slowly. "If you would care to leave a donation in the box on your left, you're free to continue on your journey."
That was rather fun! The next word shall be...opaque.

James simply could not figure out what was going on. No matter what he did, the frost that appeared to be covering his bathroom mirror wouldn't dissipate or clear up. The room didn't seem particularly humid, and the surface was as smooth as it had always been.
With a sigh, he finally put down the Windex and conferred victory to the surface before he went crazy. “I just need some fresh air,†his brain suggested, "I'll figure it out later." When he drew the blinds and saw that his window was identical to the mirror, he thought it might be time to panic.
That IS fun! The next word should be... stripes!
Stripes
“I don’t get it,†she said, tilting her head. “What’s it supposed to be?â€
“Are you blind?†He turned and frowned at her.
“No, you just can’t paint very well,†she said flippantly, sticking her tongue out.
He huffed and stared back at his work.
“It’s a zebra.â€
“I suppose, but zebras don’t usually have purple stripes,†she let out a little chuckle and ruffled his hair.
He rolled his eyes and in a flash of inspiration turned upon her, paintbrush in hand. He struck, leaving a purple stripe down her nose.
“Neither do you,†he grinned, stifling a laugh.
That turned out too cute. Blegh. XD The next word is... clothing.
