After discussing what types of pets species we have with a friend, we noticed subeta only has two insect related pets; a moth-butterfly and a bee (I'm not counting experiment pets). I say we need a mantis pet! I mean, they are such amazing little guys. Examples: x o x o x o x
There would be so many possibilities! All the colors. Just imagine a glade mantis pet with orchids.
Yeah. This needs to be a thing. And, there's so many possibilitiesssss, you dun even know Okay, glade? Orchid mantis. Graveyard? Mantis eating another mantis's head I mean hello lady mantis get with their dudes and them consume them how is that not cool There's so many different kinds of mantes that basically every subeta color can have its own one it's perfect

I think this would be a really good idea for an experiment pet
Why though? Like we have a ton of furry and cute pets, but very few 'other' pets. I think a mantis could fit in really well with the regular, non-experiment pet species.
Obviously I don't care about cute and furry, considering I've been suggesting snails/hermit crabs for months. The mantis, to me, just seems like it'd be better suited as an experiment than a full blown pet. And we do have two insect pets already. I just personally don't see it as super versatile for all the colors. But hey, opinion only.
I kinda like the idea a lot, something powerful and strong... plus -cough- every time I think Mantis I think of Scyther. :D So yeah I'd love to see a mantis pet because why not?

Better formulated reasoning for why I'd rather this be an experiment than a pet species: If they do this, I'd want it to be super detailed, and vibrant. Like the fairie giraffe, or the peacock deer. I'd want intricate, iridescent colors, instead of just a plain design. And lately, the experiment pets coming out have been rather detailed, because more time can be spent on one single design, and it doesn't need to be redrawn in a dozen other colors.
In my view, they'd have to make it rather simple to be a regular pet, and I don't want simple. I want detailed, and I want super colorful.
That's just what I'd prefer.

No body likes buttface spider mantis? Maybe I'm wrong about the insects this experiment is portraying, and I would love a spider pet regardless, but....I don't know this is the only pet that comes to mind when thinking mantis, or spider.
