I'm slowly clawing my way up the hill that is animal photography. I'm still in the 'snapshot zone' right now - y'know, Super Weenie Hut Jr of photography. There's a lot of cursing and frustration :D

I have a Canon S3 IS Powershot. Definite step up from the tiny little Fuji pocket camera I had before. Slowly learning my way around the settings.

- Your colors are BEAUTIFUL, what kind of camera do you have? I'm thinking about getting a new lens for mine soon.

It's an old Nikon D5000. Understanding color temperature, light, shadows, etc... Those are all very important too, not just learning the settings, practice a lot and I'm sure you'll do fine :)

Sadly I only have a little Cannon Power Shot, super cheap-o camera. With only a 5x zoom, I have to get a little too close to the wildlife I like to photograph, for comfort. Interesting post.. I Love your pics so much; its refreshing to see your style; the live one , full of action, and "at the moment" photography; mine is most peaceful (fast shoots too, but not always), light painting, and surreal ones (attempt to do landscape and time lapses too).

I do photography as well, but just as a hobby; going to a little photography group (more like a class/workshop), and my gear consists only in a nikon D3200 (default lenses, and macro), and a tripod, nothing more.

I need a new flickr too; and I wish for field works xD

Thanks for the compliment, I super appreciate it :) Do you mean as in groups on flickr or on here? I do follow a few on flickr, they're pretty useful for making people look at your pics.

Thank you! I also like your pictures, beautiful locations. I think the "secret" to photography is variety, framing and your subject being interesting.... As in, if someone has the most expensive equipment on earth, but they're taking pictures of a Pepsi can in B&W they're not really doing much :p

Thank you! The dress is actually her wedding dress if you're referring to my Native American themed shoot! Her Husband actually killed the deer himself and made the dress himself, beading and all. It's a tradition in their culture! Feathers and everything are real. The Light was such a pain, and my speedlight was dead, too aha. We were supposed to shoot a tad earlier, but they forgot I was coming so they took longer getting ready :p I always worry that my lighting isn't good enough!

Also, I'm lucky that my photography teacher is into Blythe dolls. (My dolls aren't that kind though... In fact at one time Blythe dolls scared me! :O ) She even let me borrow her Blythe photography book once. She's been really supportive.
