Originally created in 2013, Gourmand Support Food Swap and Hangout was a board dedicated to chatting about food, restocking, and swapping. We were a group meant to cheer other users on as they trudged their way to the glorious 1,500 foods and even afterwards as they shot for higher goals. For about a year we helped each other collect all of the event foods and new restockables. 2015 is still young and I believe it is time to bring back Gourmand Support in all of its former glory.

Tips to start collecting
This guide is copy-pasted from our old board. Feel free to correct me/add to anything listed below.
Celebration Gift -This vending machine pulls items from both the Food Market and the Carnival Stand. After a while you'll end up with a lot of duplicates but if you haven't gotten many of the items from either of those shops they're pretty big so the vending machine can be pretty helpful in cutting down on items you need.
Quentin's Quests -Quentin's Quests don't give out sp but they do give out items that used to restock in the Graveyard Shop which has been closed for over a year now. there are about 60 some odd foods Quentin can give out and quite a few of them are a bit more pricey than they used to be so even taking a stab at doing some of the cheaper ones might be in your favor.
General Advertising Boards You know those advertising boards that always offer you a huge shop full of misc 'junk' at a discount. Well instead of looking at those random items as junk a lot of times you can find hundreds of food items offered in the shop for 20-50% off or bought at a set rate of Xsp per item that not only saves you a lot of money but if you're willing to put your time into looking through their shops you could stock pile a few hundred pieces of food for when you need it.
Holidays/Events Almost every holiday or event on Subeta releases comes along with some sort of food item. They might be in the event/plot's special shop, the holiday shop, goodie bags, participation prizes, etc but there's almost always something to work towards and right around event time is always the best time to get them. If you put them off prices normally inflate and there's not going to be any more in circulation until next year (or ever again depending on the holiday/event). Luckily one of the few holiday shops you can buy items from without penalty is the Zombie Den using this board so if you haven't gotten your old Zombie Den edibles go there and in the future try to collect at least one of all the edible foods.
Major Drills Major Drills has a chance of giving you retired holiday foods if you complete one of his quests. So if there are holiday foods that you've missed in past years he's definitely the least expensive way to get some of them.
Gardens Some of the edible fruit/minions have seeds which you can get for a lot cheaper and then plant yourself. As long as you can remember to water it once a day it's effective for cutting down on Gourmand expenses. Some foods such as the Yellow/Red Tomato Plants can only be grown as well.
Restocking If you've never tried restocking before you might want to look over it because it's a really good way to collect food. Starting with a shop like Rathskeller Inn, Half Baked, or The Lost Skeleton that doesn't have much stock or competition might be a good bet. At first it's pretty easy to sit there with account search in a new tab and buy all the items you don't have as the restock but in bigger shops once I've bought a few items I find it easier to keep Subetalodge up to date (ticking them off when I buy the item, not feed them the item) and order my pet's food list by 'all items' and in order from 'oldest to newest' looking at one shop particularly so that I can scroll through both the main shop and Subetalodge at once, catching all the foods I don't have at almost a glance.
Quest Shop The quest shop has some good food options that you can collect points to get while working on the foods you find in Quentin and Major Drill's quests. Make sure you remember to quest often if you haven't gotten all of the food out of the Quest Shop yet!
Swapping Obviously as this is a place to hang out, discuss the achievement, and swap extras after you've followed some of the other steps and you've started to accumulate items you don't need using the swappers ping group might be a good way to get some more foods off your pet's list.

Between going to school full time, working a little under full time and getting addicted to league of legends in my free time I just really hadn't played Subeta much. As soon as I was back I really missed my old food chat. I actually checking the achievement forums to see if anybody else had a chat going. Apparently I'm the only one who likes chatting about food ;(
Candified has eaten 3523 food items!
I haven't really made any progress in almost a year sadly. I didn't even buy all of last year's Libertine Lounge foods (and I still have what I did buy in my vault queued up for next year). The added pages to the food's eaten page didn't help either because I had to update them in Subetalodge's mass add page by page.
I sent you over a couple of things I'd managed to restock ❤️ I might look through your shop tonight but I still have to get all of my stuff in order since I have so much atm. I cam back to a half cleared out account and have been trying to sort everything since :P
Hello everyone! It's been a while c: I've since gotten to 6k foods, but am willing to help others should they need it. Also, I am going to keep going when I can for stuff I don't have yet, just in case they release more tiers in the future. I'll have to check around and see if I have any spare foods to trade c:

I don't actually have any of the items you need atm (I need to get back into restocking) so I know it's not a 'food' trade but what's the chance you'd take for your Mardi Gras drink? I'd understand if not because obviously you're looking for food :P
Also that really sucks that you didn't get the reading drive food. The prices on those would absolutely kill me OTL I worked so hard for all of that to ensure I didn't have that problem because OTL I'd just die.

Well I created Candified the day that Candified Jollin Plushie came out and it was pretty much a goal from day one for him to eat everything. I didn't even care about the tiers so I was lucky in that regard. I'm sure you'll be able to find somebody selling them for a discount or trading them to you later on though. I went to check if I had any points but I don't have any left or I would have tried to help you out.

That's a cute name, and I can see why you'd want to feed him all of the food c: I was achievement hunting at the time but it's more or less become an addiction by now, lol. Aww I do appreciate the though though c: I'm hoping so, I've found pretty good deals in the past before, so hopefully c:

I'm glad you've found some good deals so far! I'm sure after a while you'll get them it's just one of those things that are frustrating because -ugh- I could have gotten them and then they bumped the prices. That's how I've felt about some wearable foods :C
That's awesome! I have 40 more things I need to RS over all including the new items they recently came out with so you're doing great! I've been lazy with rsing lately (also questing, pretty much everything lol), but I like to go to my wishlist every now and then and just click the little shopping cart on each of the items to see if I can find anything that's in a main store that I can grab.

lol I meant between LS and HB not overall xD I have a lot more overall. I still have 3k more foods my pet needs to eat overall and most of those are event/rsable.

I didn't realize it was wearable at first because I wasn't active when the card came out I shouldn't have even looked so I didn't know the wig was gorgeous
True, it's great for the so called "down time" on subeta between holidays and events c:
Ugh I hate it so much when a wearable is amazing but it's also food, like when I vended the a while ago :x It's still in my wardrobe and I'm thinking about trying to vend for another one OTL

I don't use backgrounds so I wasn't sure why that was on my WL but that would be why. Goddammit expensive food :/ I guess I gotta try to vend for it too OTL

At the very least you had a lot of stuff to sell in your shop. I think I might go for it since there are a bunch of bonus things in the chance machine atm. I need some of those retired holiday items I"m sure xD
@ Emotional I did actually end up vending a second one if you can believe it x) I still can't bring myself to feed it to my pet though, I feel like if I sell it, I can get more points for a bunch of foods instead of having just the one. Ugh, decisions xP

Hey, do you guys know of any way to make your pet hungry? I'm pretty sure they get hungry faster the more health they have, but I seem to remember a battle opponent or something that could take hunger down... my inventory is full of food and the delayed gratification is annoying >:(

@ monie I use the . A bit pricey and you have to have a tier 6 battle pet (edit for clarification, your battle pet has to be a different pet than your food pet) to use it, but it has been extraordinarily helpful for me.
When you use that weapon in a battle there's a random chance of it causing your pets hunger levels go down to 1/10 for any pet except for your battle pet/the one that's using the weapon. It also brings down happiness levels to 1/10, but if your pets have minions it shouldn't be of too much concern.
It's random which pets it selects for hunger/happiness to go down but it normally gets around 5 pets at a time I think, so even if you have a lot of pets it shouldn't take too terribly long for it to affect your food pet's hunger level. My personal favorite strategy is to use the weapon in a fight with opponents with a lot of health, i.e. Lagmonster. Also, it doesn't matter if your pet wins or loses the battle for the weapon to bring hunger down. c:
