There's a weird CSS bug on the zapper page which displays pet images at 60% opacity, so they look weirdly faded. Obviously it's not game-breaking, but it's weird.

It doesn't happen every time so I'm still trying to work out the pattern. The few times that I noticed it, my pet changed colors to marsh, but I don't know if that's a coincidence or not. It might be any color/species change?

Found it:

ui.message p{ opacity: 0.85; }

That happens every time you get a color/species change. The rest of the time, you get this:

So the pet image is at 100% opacity.
