I claimed my Deathslug skin, and went back to being human and it instantly signed me up to get a new disease. I don't want it. So I bought a in Louie's shop, now I'm out on 200 candy hearts and I'm still stuck with a disease I don't want. I want to be human.

I have an issue with body horror and luckily Deathslug was alright, but Angler is going to be hard. I know I can just cover it up, but I didn't sign up to go again. Can this be fixed?

[edit] I filed a ticket and apparently I have to wait this disease out and claim it in my skin bank. I guess I am covering my HA until the end of the event. HA previews are going to make me sick. SO disappointed.

I actually had a similar issue (Angler skin). After claiming my 2015 virus, I went to sign up for another, but didn't have enough money out of the bank. I stepped away from the page for a while, and when I came back online with money... somehow I was already infected with something new (Angler)? And I didn't push any buttons, so it must have automatically given me random.

I went to the wardrobe to put on my old infection (eyesore) and now it is showing me as being double-infected. Please, make the stupid angler go away. I want to through sP at this and get infected with an old strain. And apparently, VIP doesn't recognize my old skin. "Thanks for your interest in becoming an Infection Specialist!

Unfortunately, your strain hasn't progressed far enough for your bite to be effective, but try again later!"

The same thing happened to me. After switching my skin to "None" in the wardrobe, I was directly signed up for another strain (probably the shark one again). I was able to click on the "I don't want to be infected button" fast enough and get Butterfly Bruise, so everything went right for me. But it really should not instantly sign you up for another disease.

Looks like I was automatically signed up for s/thing after I shed my skin in the wardrobe b/c when I went to the lounge, it said "Thanks for participating in the Volunteer Infection Program! ...." so after going through some posts and ending up here, I did what did and then selected/bought the one I wanted. Will go and try to get bitten to see if it worked correctly.

I made a post about this as well. I seem to have been automatically re-signed up for the lovebug virus. It's useless to go through that again since I have the skin. I want to sign up for another virus, but I do not have that option.

Hope this gets looked into and fixed quickly. It's going to set getting my next virus back quite some time and eat up time of the event. :(

I got the exact same strain a second time, after claiming the skin.

I put on this lace skin, but I want normal looking skin. I fed mine that old antivirus thing from Louis, but she still is sick, and I do not have any more money for cures. I got this so I wonder what it means.

If you're worried about the avi previews you can make it so the skin doesn't show. Just go to preferences and click disable for "Force item preview hover to show hex. (Zombie skin, zapper skin, etc). Slower hover loading!"

Really wish we could just be healed by the healer. I hate having to waste candy hearts to heal a virus I didn't want/sign up for!

I finally gave up on biting, since nobody needs/wants grossfungus bites and I've gotten about 5 total-- and after swapping out my skin I'm now infected with Deathslug. Apparently. what? It's already on stage 2. I didn't sign up for it-- in fact, I was still infected with grossfungus until about 10 minutes ago, and I was really relieved to be human again, and figured maybe I'd try for crack head since I may use it in future. since it's a new one and I can't cure it, I'm actually really, really disappointed. HAs and HA-related-things are about 90% of what I do on subeta. outfits, CWs, yadda yadda. it's my jam.

Hey, that's a bummer! I was also automatically reinfected and will have to wait it out bc it's a newer strain... Really shitty. It is possible though to disable the zombie skin on at least item previews - go to user dashboard, then to the "preferences" tab and disable the option that says "Force item preview hover to show hex".
