Mini Condensed Guide!
Daily Things To Do: Training Center Collect Income Battle Quests Shinwa Quest
Do as many training sessions per day as possible, set alerts or autotrain as it' still worth it up to about T8. Collecting income has a random chance of awarding a stat point. Battle quests - save EXP in general and then use in large boosts (eg 100k at a time), from T11 save it entirely for T12+ boosting cause it's a pain from there. Shinwa has the chance of awarding boosters.
Also make sure to have the Oracle widget in your sidebar, she will ask for items fairly rarely but awards stats to your active pet - she's very easy to miss without the widget.
Using Boosters/EXP Use any boosters you come across in quests or from turning in mage amulets to the mage, but don't deliberately spend lots on them at this point, you can boost lower tier stats quite easily purely from training and EXP and if you aren't in a huge hurry then autotraining is more economical.
There's a booster list here, but really for until T10 it doesn't really matter that much where you are putting stats, but helps to have a glance through and recognise what you can use/add them all to a WL category.
Stats to Focus On
When using your EXP from battle quests I would recommend doing 50/50 into Strength and Health, as these are the most useful stats at this stage.
INTEL - This stat may not seem important at first glance, but raising intel is absolutely critical for battle success! The great thing about intel is that getting it up to start with is actually quite easy, there are loads of restockable books that are cheap, and making a WL of needed books doesn't take too long. You increase intel by boosters or reading books to your pet, and alchemy points (AP) are awarded every 16 intel points. If using boosters you should be aware that the AP doesn't activate until you read a book, so you may have 3 AP 'due' from boosters and must read something to get it added to your total.
Having high AP means that you can equip more scrolls, and these are what are going to save your ass in battle. A freezing scroll can make the difference between getting flattened and making sure that opponent doesn't touch you at all.
Additional Helpful Items These can be equipped and used once per battle, the item is destroyed when used: - Blocks ALL damage - Chance to freeze
Battle Sets A list of a few good options for each weapon class.
Freezer:
Blaster:
Healer:
Block/Blessing
Bomb:
Damage dealers:
Basic battle schedule to follow is: Turn 1 Bomb + Freezer Turn 2 Recycle Blaster + Soma Tablets/KT Ring Turn 3 Damage dealers x2 Then heal/block/attack as needed.
RECOMMENDED SET I recommend these items based on what is powerful at T6 and beyond, I use half of these items with a capped pet so they are a permanent investment. Phoenix Quill, Recycle Blaster and Soma Tablets should be considered priority.
These are also shown in the order you should organise them in your set for the pre-selection function.
-ANY 2 OF THE DAM DEALERS-
Recommended Scrolls How many of these you can equip depends on your AP, but ideally you want to have a freezing scroll, a bomb scroll, and a multi-use scroll where possible. If you can only equip a few, prioritise a freezer and a good multi-use! It's good to have a few different multi-use scrolls so you can switch up your defense against different attack icons. A scroll that blocks water isn't going to be helpful against the Forj challengers for example!
Freezers: - These are the best freeze scrolls, they will be much cheaper around Morostide when the challenger that drops them is active!
Bombs/Blockers: - Great bomb scroll to start with. - Bomb - This scroll scales how effective it is based on how hard your challenger is. - Excellent defence scroll
Multi-use: - Excellent multi use - Also has a low chance to freeze
Weapon Modifications
For the sake of keeping things simple until you are more into battling I would recommend the super effective special-mods:
Mod about 50% of your slots with Armor, then 25% each with Parched and Singed. This will add chances of defense blessing, and curses to add extra damage. Blessing of natural armor prevents freezing and stealing so it's important to have it activate against some opponents! Make sure your first selected weapons carry at least 2 Armor mods.
