So I'm edging in on tier 8, and I wanted to start preparing for that.

I know the trident can be converted and scaled... but every time I've used it, it felt fairly useless? How do I make the best use of that weapon?

What's the ideal set for tier 8, no limit really on cost?

Definitely convert the trident.. I think the most common modifications are the .. expensive but very worth it and it gives you a few extra icons of damage too ;) And potential freeze protection.

When I hit tier 8 I enjoyed using the following attackers: and so you could use those along with the trident and see what you like best. The first doesn't have healing on it (which is preferable) but it has a chance to freeze and has a nice curse on it. There might be some decent weapons dropped by the cash shop challengers but tbh I've never really used them :(

I think I only had two attackers at that point too, with at least two healers, and a blaster, a freezer and a blocker (and either a third healer or bomb) .. depending on if I can blast a challenger to death or use healing as a further strategy.

But everyone has different preferences, and of course some challengers need different weapons so those might not be suitable for the challenger you are against.. so that's a good standard set maybe for battle quests but you might find something else helpful when dealing with plot battling or going past one win on challengers. It's helpful to figure out an opponent's weakness and exploit it basically ;)

Tier 8 is really fun since you can soon access the harder opponents and some fun weapons! But really there's no true 'ideal' set.. though I think most of us follow that general guideline.. I think the battle admins are trying to bring out different weapons to hopefully diversify battling so we shall see :)
