Hello there, everyone! I'm out of good manga once again and I kind of feel like I have already read every shoujo manga there is :/ So does anyone here have any good manga that I might have overlooked? I would really like to read something that is refreshing and not too clishé. I would prefer stories with a not too whiny main character. Or with a boy as love interest that isn't your typical I-can-do-everything-and-I-am-perfect shoujo prince. Also I would really enjoy reading a manga in which acting plays a central part, like in Skip Beat! (my favorite manga :)), but if not, that's also ok! I'd be really happy about some suggestions! :)
❤️
Thank you for the tip :) I've actually already read it, but that was pretty long ago. I think I'm going to reread it now!
❤️
these might be a little cliché but i remember really enjoying them haha
Haha thank you :) I've actually already read all of them, but they sure make good rereads :)
❤️
oh darn xD maybe try these? i dont rmb what most of them are actually about but i rated them as pretty good reads back then
: Thaaaank you!! :) I actually haven't read Mouujuu wa Ori no Naka yet, so I will do that now!! :)
❤️
except it's like super short xD you might have read these already but i'll list them anyways
Have you read Sugars? It's like a collection of one-shots focusing on a different coupling for every chapter, and each chapter is slightly linked to the previous. For other oneshots there's also Matryoshka (and everything else by Ando Yuki!!) Sukima Shiki Ano Ko to Boku no Ie First Love (Aruko) The Glasses Thief (Sahara Mizu) Icchoume Kikyouya no Himesama Ai no Tame ni
And for the longer ones, Beniiro Hero Aishiteruze Baby
: Yeah, that's true :D aah, unfortunately, I've also read all of those, but they also make good rereads, so thank you :)
: There are actually a few suggestions that I haven't read yet! Thank you so much! :) I'll definitely read them!
❤️
@ finilain It's no problem at all :) Hopefully they're good reads!
edit: ... 8( oh man, is it just me or did i break this entire thread? only this post is showing up.. edit2: whew, looks like it's fixed!
Not sure if it's something you'd be interested in, but have you considered Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru (aka The Betrayal Knows My Name)?
The basic gist is that there are demons called Duras that the Giou family have been fighting for centuries. The warriors, who work in pairs, are called Zweilt, and are reincarnated to continue the fight. Yuki, an orphan, finds out that he is the reincarnation of the "Light of God", who leads the Zweilt. Except there's a big difference this time...
Do you have the courage to ride with the devil?
Some of my personal Favorite is absolutely 'Skip Beat' which I am almost pretty sure you have read or are reading but it is still coming out with more chapters One of the cutest ones I found lately was 'Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun', but I find myself also looking into BL's like 'Orenchi No Furo Jijou' it is not like a yaoi as most yaoi go (no supah smutty sex LOL) and I recently finished 'Black Bird' and it is mature but not really cliché.

I am really enjoying Akatsuki no Yona. It's pretty shoujo, but it's also got really (what I deem to be) well-rounded characters!
That sounds really intriguing, I'm gonna give it a try! Thank you! :)
Skip Beat is my absolute favorite :) I've never really been into BL, but it's been a long time since I gave that a try and tastes change, so who knows. I will check it out, thank you!
Thank you, that is also one of my absolute favorites at the moment! Yona has the best character development I've ever seen in a manga!
❤️
It is not bad just a cute comedy I feel it will bring a lot of smiles. XD but yeah and skip beat is getting good! I feel like I am dying waiting so long for each chapter. XD

Right!? When I initially started watching it I was grumpy because I was expecting your run-of-the-mill princess in distress anime... but I was /so/ wrong. I love all the characters and they're surprisingly well rounded.
It's a bit more slice of life, but a really funny shoujo I enjoyed was Switch Girl - it's pretty much the cutesy of shoujo but also mixed with the real life habits any girl has - the main girl is kind of a school idol which is her "on mode" (makeup, behavior, everything), but when she's not at school she goes into her "off mode", hence the title.
Horimiya is a good one. It's technically labelled as shounen because it's serialized in a shounen magazine, but honestly it's shoujo in all the ways that matter. XD
I also remember enjoying Warau Kanoko-sama and the sequel Koi Dano Ai Dano, though honestly it's been so long I can't really remember what happened in them. I do remember the main girl being very different from most shoujo heroines.
Also I know you already saw this one but I just want to say I am in love with Akatsuki no Yona. I found it through the anime and I originally was going to skip it because the summary I saw made it sound incredibly stupid and it was labeled as a reverse harem and harems just make me say "ew" but then for some reason I decided to give it a shot and I am so glad I did.
Not quite a Shoyo but I love Full Metal Panic as well as Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. (Especially I adore Skip Beat by myself and love strong woman who can get rid of idiots.) :D
Let me permanently delete my account instead of just "freezing" it.
