Will anyone be purchasing and if so which one?

I am hopefully getting the new 3DS which is the one with the changeable faceplates :)

I planned on buying one but couldn't bear the wait and got the 3DS XL instead x'D (the Yoshi Edition one) I know that I will come to regret this decision at some point in the future. It's my very first handheld console too.

I probably won't this month, but I plan to at some point.

I have so many other things taking my money, like bills. Ew.

I love all the special editions of the 3DS but I am the same every time an update console is released I have the urge to buy haha.

Luckily I sold my old iPad to pay for it :)

I would love one. But I think I will be waiting for it to go on sale first haha.

Nice. 8D Do you use the 3D feature often? I just searched it up and I won't be able to purchase the new regular-sized 3DS. T___T Apparently it won't be coming to NA... I actually didn't know that's the one with the faceplates. Darn it! It looks cool.

Sometimes I use it, it's actually a lot better than the previous 3ds as it tracks your movements so the 3d is somehow projected better (i have no idea haha)

yeah I saw that, that is the one I bought with the changeable cover plates. I currently have Princess Peach on mine it's so cute!

xD Ah that's good. It's a cool feature and all but it's not for everyone. I kind of wish Nintendo just made a new handheld console without the 3D. Oh well!

I ended up picking up the limited edition Monster Hunter 4 version of the New 3DS XL. Honestly, I love it. I don't do 3d so I turned that crazy motion tracking feature (which actually worked funny enough) but I love the better textures in the newer games and the extra little thumb stick. c:

I just got my New 3DS XL today and already love it. Picked up Majora's Mask with it too, so needless to say I will be wasting my time outside of work playing that. xD I need to pick up an amiibo or two whenever I get the chance to try those out on Super Smash Bros. Very excited! I can tell me and the little C stick are going to be great friends. xD I can tell having the stylus on the bottom will be very bothersome to me though. Feels much better where they had it on the original XLs: on the side. I fear for the day when my stylus gets loose and falls out without my knowing. x-X I greatly appreciate moving where the cartridge goes though. I accidentally pressed mine out a time or two, that definitely won't be a problem with it being on the bottom. c:

I literally just got my (gamestop exclusive Persona Q version) 3ds xl back in November so I'm going to wait a while before even thinking of picking up this new one since I want to save up for a PS Vita or a new console system.

I traded my old 3DS (the very first one) for a new 3DS...it was all cool and stuff, but Gamestop could at least tell me that there is NO FRIGGIN CHARGER IN THIS THING (I also had to trade the charger from my old device in). rages internally

I was planning on getting the New 3DS some time after it came out. Then I got the email from Nintendo about the Ambassador Edition, and ended up getting one some time before the regular editions were released. :P

Totally worth it. The 3D really is an improvement over the original. I was impressed with it on my first 3DS, but over time it just got too difficult to look at, and I hardly ever used the 3D. I use it a lot more with N3DS. :)

Looking forward to see how future games will take advantage of other improvements too.

What is an ambassador edition? :)

It's a limited edition version that was made available to select Club Nintendo members in Europe. You needed an invite to buy it direct from Nintendo. More details.

i was PUMPED about getting one since its ever first advertisement came out and then the very day before it's release i learned that it wasn't immediately coming in white to America and that's the version i desperately wanted so now i'm just here... waiting. black and red don't cut it for me... i need the white one!!
