Hi everybody, I'm Pockets, I signed up yesterday because I'd been looking for an online game I could get really stuck into. So far I'm loving the site and the artwork :) About myself: I'm 22, I live in England with my husband and a cat named Cake (adventure time reference). I'm a teacher, volunteer, and freelance writer. I have lots of interests and I love a good chat on pretty much any topic! Hopefully I'll be sticking around for a while and I'll get to know some of you better; I don't really know how friendly/close knit the forums are - but I'm looking forward to finding out :)

So I've been asked about my writing work. My work is really variable, and for myself I write a lot in terms of poetry and love to experiment with form and imagery in literature. Some of my biggest influences include T.S. Eliot & Margaret Atwood, for abstract yet graphic (and very raw emotion) within their styles. However, I also ghostwrite for various people. Many people have more money than time or interest in what they're doing, so I might be doing anything from document production & article writing, to business reports and plans, to research / essay templates. Although I can't take any credit for that work; I really appreciate my clients. I get paid to learn so much about everything from finance to the higher sciences, and that's a fantastic opportunity. :)

I think my favourite thing about subeta so far is the absolutely huge range of things to do and look at (I'll never get bored!), in combination with the great forum here. It's been a long time since I was really active in an online community because I've been waiting for the right one to come along, so I'm glad things seem so friendly and centred here.

Regarding our names: I got my username when I was at university because I carried everything with me all the time and could produce anything from one of my pockets if needed (e.g. cinnamon sachets and a full roll of duct tape). It just stuck... And yeah, we've got a combination of compliments and strange looks about the cat's name too (I guess it's best if you get the reference)! My husband and I are both pretty big fans of Adventure Time so Cake was the only name we could agree on :P
