Hello everyone, my name is Stina. I just stumbled upon this website while trying to find a fun interactive site like Neopets and Gaia. I think I found the perfect blend! I am so excited to get started. I am 24 and am currently an assistant kindergarten teacher, which I love!

Welcome! I'm also a newbie. :) I agree - this has more "stuff to do" than Gaia, but is less pet-centric than Neo... it's a great blend.

You're a brave woman to be a kindergarten teacher... I was a preschool (4s and 5s) teacher at a daily preschool last summer... all my kiddos were about to move up to kindergarten in the fall, and man, some of those children were outright terrors. o__o (Then again, I had about 10 kids in a room by myself... an assistant would have made a world of difference.)

and yes, stina, you certainly are brave for being a kindergarten teacher, hahaha. i'm currently a 3rd year in veterinary school, so i'll be working with animals ... which are kinda like kindergarten-aged children? :p

I don't know how you managed with preschool! That's the age that's a bit difficult for me because they understand less why you're telling them no and more apt to cry for not getting what they want. PLUS at our school being potty trained for pre schoolers isn't manatory, so you can see why I prefer the kindergartners ;) I work at a private school so we have a class of 20 which is great! You really get to spend a lot of time with each child.

That seems like it would be an extremely rewarding job! Just like teaching kindergarten, you get to help and even save cute animals who NEED you.

Our preschoolers weren't all potty trained, either. -_- They were supposed to be, but we had a few accidents. It was a really tough summer... I decided to never do that age again. Most of the kids were experiencing classroom discipline for the first time, so it was hard to get them to understand that while still trying to teach all the other kids.

That's a great way of putting it. They don't understand authority as much as kindergartners do. They understand the word "no" a lot better! Heh.
