Ok, I admit this project has been sitting in the cupboard for a while now, but I really need to get my mini Sherlock's Deerstalker hat made.... and possibly a way to make his hair as well!
As you can no doubt tell by the photo, I've made Sherlock in mouse form, just to be different :P I used a pattern for the basic mouse, improvised the clothing, but haven't a clue how to do the hair or the hat!
So, I'm hoping that some of the crafty people here might have a suggestion or two please, for how to at least get the hair done, or somewhere to hunt for a way to make the hat?
Pings
any ideas, gals??

- It's Shermouse! He's so cute! I found a really simple tut on adding hair to something like this. It's a pretty cool blog too. Maybe you'll find some other ideas on there. HERE
Good luck with the hat! That'll be the hard part!
That's perfect for the hair!! Thanks!! :D I managed to get Mousedalf to have hair, but I could get away with random stitches for that, as the yarn was so fluffy ;)

- Your welcome! I'd probably wait until you had the hat done before you add hair so the hair doesn't end up too short and hiding under the hat. ^_^
that's true - although I don't want to get in a mess like I did with the scarf, and find that I stitched the jacket on before I'd attached the scarf, then had to try and cram it down behind the collar 😊

- lol! You'll work it out and he'll be crazy cute!! :D
it can't be worse than Bilbo-mouses' hair.... which is one reason why I haven't taken a photo of him yet, as his hair looks absolutely horrendous! 😊

@ Paddy Shermouse is the cutest thing ever! l

Would something like that work for the hat? :)

that would work perfectly!!!!!!!!
How on earth did I not notice that before, when I was looking?! squishes you to pieces :D

I am glad you like it. :D It is the closest to his hat you can get I would think. :D

nods I wasn't looking forward to trying to make up a hat pattern for him, so that'll definitely save me a load of hassle :D :D
