I'm not new to Subeta, but I haven't frequented the forums at all. I thought it might be nice to visit and see how things work here.
How is everyone today?

I am doing well. Not much going on besides listening to music and stocking up my shop, how are you today?
Pretty good. Unwinding after work and enjoying the quiet. I answer phones all day. Silence is very much welcome afterwards. :P ;)

I am hoping to get a job where I answer phones all day.. It is a step up from being a cashier where I am at right now. :/
yea verily. The receptionist gig isn't so bad, except that I usually wind up answering the same handful of questions over and over again every day. Now that the holidays are over, things have gotten quieter in the office.

Well right now I am a cashier at Petsmart part time, and I hear the pet hospital within Petsmart which is a different company may be looking for a part time receptionist if another doctor goes full time. So we will see! I may be a traitor if the position opens up, I have been wanting to be a receptionist for a while now, but the places I have been looking want full time 9-5 and that does not work with my college hours.
I hardly think that making a move on a position you want would make you a traitor, lol. Here's hoping things go the way you want them to. ^_^

Welcome to the forums! What an interesting username, does it mean anything particular?
I've got to brief you a little on some forum rules: each board has rules stickied to the top of the board to help keep them tidy. One of the rules for Welcomes is that it's for new accounts only, and as you've had yours for a fair while, I'm going ahead and moving this thread to General Discussion where you can continue to discuss anything Subeta!
Don't fret, there's no penalty for this move - so don't be shy to make full use of the great forum community here ^__^

My apologies, and thank you for your assistance. ^_^
The name is from grad school. I used to take crochet projects to work on between classes or before lectures since I was usually there early. My computer architecture professor teased me that crochet and computer science have nothing to do with each other. I told him that wasn't true. They have all sorts of things in common: both require formulas, code, and programs (patterns); both include the use of repeats and the solving of special problems such as the "fence post" problem; the filet crochet project I was working on made the same use of open and closed spaces as computers do 0s and 1s. I held the project up for him and declared, "It's binary crochet!" He didn't tease me after that. ;)
