Legitimately though, I'm working on pixel art seriously for the first time since I gave it up years ago and now I've hit the one point that didn't come back like riding a bike: anti-aliasing.

So I need help! Would someone be able to explain it to me, or link me a few tutorials? I'm working in Paint Tool Sai, if that helps as well. I'd really like to get back into it becuase it's a lot easier and quicker for me, but I've seem to have lost my touch for the basics ;~;

I'd really like to know certain things like:

  • Quick recap of why it's important (I'm one of those "someone told me to do the thing so I did and it was fine" types of people")
  • Do I need to make new brushes/buckets and how
  • What about a prober "eraser" so that I don't lose the integrity of my pixels when I need to erase something?

So I guess you can call this "Anti-Aliasing: A crash course for dummies" lol.
