I'm going to close this thread. Because I have an artist, and such!

First things first, I do not have a ref. >.< Sorry! He's a new character idea, and I can't draw worth a diddly. Which is why I am here! I am looking for someone to draw my pixie prince. You'd have to be comfortable drawing his skin with this pattern. Just the blue parts, though. Not the shiny parts. So sort of a giraffe pattern in blue? It looks giraffe to me. For clothing I was looking for something like this, but with a silver pattern rather than red. And over that he would wear a long, flowing robe with similar silver swirls. The robe is left opened in the front, and has a trailing train. It should look silk, if possible. Then gray/silver pants tucked into black knee-high boots that tie in the front. He should give off an elegant vibe. Unlike the skin tone picture, I'd like his eyebrows to resemble normal human eyebrows. He has black hair and black eyebrows. His hair would be spiked, I was thinking of something like this. I like how the link location says hipster. He can be a hipster pizie, I guess. Um, that aside! His eyes are a light gray. He is thin, but very short. About three feet high. While elegant he should also convey a... I don't know how to word it. He's a prince so he has some arrogance, but he lives among humans and is often kind to them. Mostly because they adore him and he feeds off their adoration. He's a pixie, right? Pixies should have wings. I was thinking something like dragonfly wings, but I might want to change it upon seeing it, if that's all right? It's hard for me to visually everything together.

I think that is all I wanted to get out. I am only looking for one artist at the moment, but might look for more after I have a visual reference. I am willing to pay in sP, CSC, or USD as noted. I love artists who aren't afraid to take artistic liberties, and who are willing to keep in contact with me throughout the commission. I'm a nice person (usually), I promise! I can't help it. :( I keep coming up with ideas, and then I want to see them. But lack of drawing skills has my ideas stuck in my head. Luckily, I have you wonderful people!

I think your style would be perfect for this pixie guy. I know I definitely want full-body. I... think I'll splurge and opt for the refined paint, if that's all right? It can be my grandma's Christmas present to me that she doesn't know about. =P

There is no rush on the piece. I just get impatient at times, and wanna see the characters come to life. But! A time frame just helps so I know when to poke people and ask if they're still alive. x.x So, yes! I'd love to work with you.

That's swell! I've got one more commission before you, but I'm already finishing up on that, so a refined paint is all swell~

He'll be pretty dang detailed, so would asking for extra be okay? $60, at the very most. I am of course welcome to going lower, we've worked together a lot so I don't mind. I always try to get the best quality within my working time. :b

And another question- I know he's short, but what would his proportions be like? Is he just a shrunk-down adult-proportioned humanoid (so similar proportions) or would he have, say, a big head compared to the body, or look more child-like/adolescent?

And do you have any more details with the robe, or is that indeed up to artistic liberty? :b

Ah, I am not sure why I included that he's short since it doesn't always translate into drawings. But it would be the first one you said. Shrunk-down adult proportions. He's young, but in the way that an eighteen year old is young. =P

As for his robes... ah, I was looking for something to compare it with. I think something like this would work. Except without the fluff at the end. But the silver swirls can be at the bottom of the robes, and only only on the arms instead of e'erywhere. And it kind of shows what I mean with the train. Still, artistic liberty is still good with me. Which probably sounds silly considering the detail I just added, but meh.
