Um I'm not sure if this is a new feature (haven't seen anything about it), but since earlier today when trying to restock from shops I've been getting this message instead of the usual sold out message. Is there a kink with the shops?

Oh No! This item was already purchased.
I've recently noticed this too, when I offer the wrong amount, eg. one number too less, I get this even if the item isn't sold out. Refreshing the buy page doesn't work, and I have to go back, refresh the shop or shop search again, and then re-offer, which is a pain in the arse n_n
Hopefully it gets fixed soon cos it makes questing rly slow :x whilst im trying to work on my rs count xD

It's happening to me, too. Wasn't a problem until today. It's not only when the item sells out, but when an item is merely purchased before you get to it, even if there are multiple in stock.
For example: I have a quest and I need to buy a Blueberry Bread. Shop search says there are 10 Blueberry Bread in stock in The Bake Stop. Normally, I click through and buy the item, no problem. Now, if someone else buys a Blueberry Bread in the time it takes me to click through to the shop, I get the message "Oh No! This item was already purchased." I simply pressed back on my browser until I was back at the search results and tried to buy it again. I will continually get the same "Oh No! This item was already purchased" message unless I refresh the shop search to reflect the new stock number. I refresh, it shows 9 Blueberry Bread in stock, and I click through successfully and buy one. If I press back and try to buy the bread again, because I would like to resell it for profit, I get the message "Oh No! This item was already purchased."
This has happened to me so many times this evening. It's consistent. It's like we're all competing for the same instance of an item, instead of the shop handing out different ones to different buyers.
God, this is pissing me off. I really hope this is an error, and not some new feature overtaking the "5 second" rule.
Well, if it is a new feature it would definitely be a step in the wrong direction :/

This is EXTREMELY annoying. I'm getting it too.
Edit: Moving feedback about this decision to a different thread.
It's a great feature for the free shop, it stops people from being able to click through and predict the good items and camp them for when they restock.
I don't do a lot of restocking myself, so I didn't realize that it was a feature on every shop. It seems kind of pointless on other shops. Can they make it so that it only shows up in the Free Shop?
Huh. I didn't realize that people were doing that/it was possible. Well, if it's on purpose, here's hoping it's just for the duration of the free shop restocking. Because it is incredibly inhibiting in regular shops.
OMG this sucks for restocking especially in shops that are competitive.. you can miss out altogether on an item even if you click it before 10 other people because of this dang error.
Also losing the ability to go back to buy another of the same item sucks especially in shops with big stock, you have to either use the page search or skim through the items to re-find the thing
Please tell me this isn't permanent, the 5 second rule was fine for normal shops
I kinda undertand this feature for the free shop, maybe, but for normal restocking this is SUPER VERY SUPER ANNOYING, please remove that, PLEASE 😠
I didnt even know that was a thing in the free shop o_o but I agree with everyone else, it really make restocking a pain n;
Yeah, this is pretty debilitating for restocking. Makes questing a pain too...right in the middle of a questing based event.

Oh No! This item was already purchased.
If you want to buy more than one of an item, you have to do shop search again, in order to be able to buy another one. This is highly annoying.
Please, please, please say this is a bug and not a new feature?!
Taking a look into this today :)
[edit]
Okay, so I see what is going on. We fixed the prevention that lets people just refresh and buy up all of the items (within their 5 second limit obviously) but did that by adding in the unique ID for each stocked item. Which means if you click it and another user does too, it'll cause problems.
Fixing this now. :)
