Hi all! I've recently taken up the competitive Pokémon scene and was who seeing if there was anyone who was willing to help me practice! Also as a bonus my friend is recording games of competitive teams and putting them on YouTube.

I'd like this thread to be about helping each other create a good team, reliable movsets and even better friends.

Of course this includes Pokémon contests! If the thread gets really popular we may even hold a tournament! [Spoiler=Here is my team] So to start my current team consists of Swampert with torrent holding assault vest : Earthquake - Waterfall - Hammer Arm - Ice Punch

Walrein with Ice body holding rocky helmet : Rest - Hail - Snore - Toxic

Absol with Super Luck holding Absolite (Magic Bounce): Super Power - Sucker Punch - Knock off - Swords Dance

Wigglytuff with competitive holding assault vest: Fire Blast - Thunderbolt - Dazzling Gleam - Psychic

Linoone holding a chesto berry : Belly Drum - Rest - (other moves are tentative)

Cradilly with suction cups and leftovers: Giga drain - Stealth Rocks- Toxic - Bind

Spinda with own tempo holding metronome: Teeter Dance - Thrash - Drain Punch - Recycle (tentative)

WIPS include Masquerain Swellow[/spoiler]

i like competitive pokemon! i mean, im not head over heels in perfection, it's mostly for fun. i mostly just romp around battle spot. i dont have a designated team, i switch around pokemon and see what works. i have quite a few - espeon, rhyperior, absol, scolipede, charizard, blaziken, sharpedo, ninetails, banette, lopunny, zoroark, slowbro, cradily, gengar, azumarill, ettc etc im sure im forgetting a few. im working on being more creative with sets and pokemon, tho i still have some work to do. im breeding for a shiny bagon! anyone else breeding atm?

PS: you have a VERY prominent weakness to fighting in your team, especially to a Lucario.

I've been working on a competitive team for the past 6 months or so.. well I have about 30+ Pokemon all fully trained in their proper IVs with decent move pools.

I'm not the best when it comes to competitive battling, but I do my best none-the-less and have had some moderate success from time to time.

Walrein is totally destroyed by anything carrying Worry Seed. You don't have one damaging attack that it can use awake.

You don't need Sucker Punch AND Knock Off on Absol. Replace one by Play Rough

Cradily with Bind is bad. It is also totally walled by steel types.

Linoone is going to get wrecked by anything with Mach Punch and Talonflame at half-HP. They're going to take advantage of priority.

Spinda has no reason to carry Recycle, since Metronome is not a consumable.

You have too many physical attackers

You don't have a spinner or a hazer, nor do you have a cleric, making your team really vulnerable to Will-O-Wisp, Toxic and Thunder Wave.

All in all, it's not really a very rounded team.

i am actually breeding a perfect shiny miccinco (i know i spelled that wrong)for local play, and i recently bred a perfect shiny trapinch :D it only took me a month luckily.

dear God you went in depth, I appreciate it c: i recently finished my masquarin with quiver dance, air slash, bug buzz and giga drain EVs in spATK and speed.

i'm working on a greninja soon, and have a vaporeon in the works (I like too many water types ._.) Back in the day i was in love with spATK sweepers but always got my butt kicked, i guess im a little um...i dont wanna say traumatized but you know what i mean.

Im not really great with competitive battling, but I would like to try out my shiny team. XD I also still need to get up the batting items needed to be any good with big time battlers. Its a bit of a mix for me. I am good with breeding/training sweepers, but I still lack with making the tanks. Sometime later I may train a few tanks to take hits to mix in the bunch. :3

If you would like to battle sometime I am up for it.
