I recently opened my own (very small) jewelry business, and I thought I might share some of my pieces with everyone here. =) I make these by hand from scratch using the lost wax casting process. First I carve a model of the piece in wax, then I have it cast into sterling silver and I set the gemstones in it. Once the gemstones are set I patina the pieces to bring out the details. Here are a few of my first pieces. I have some more ready for stone setting, so I will post pictures of them when they are finished!
Phoenix Feather Pendant with Yellow Sapphire: X X X
Phoenix Tear Pendant with Rainbow Moonstone: X X
Lightsaber Pendants: These I created for my boyfriend and myself. We designed our own sabers and then I created wax models of them. The glowing vials are filled with different colored tritium, which glows for 12 years and never needs sunlight charging. His is orange with an orange sapphire, mine is purple with a tanzanite. I took pictures of them in the light and the dark so that you could see the difference. Because of copyrights and stuff I could never sell something like this with my business, but they make cool gifts! X X X X X X
Magpie with a shiny thing, sterling silver and Tanzanite: XXX
Avian Hearts: Adelie Penguin with rhodolite garnet heart: XX
They are so well made and beautiful, I love them! Best of luck with your business!
Thanks for sharing! You're so creative and I love the stone you used for the phoenix tear and the colored tritium in the lightsaber pieces. It really adds a little something special to the pendants. Good luck with your business!!
Sorry for the late reply, but thank you both so much! I just updated with a few new pieces. =)
Oh my goodness, they are so beautiful! Do you by any chance do horses/horse heads? o: What's the price of a piece like the Snowy Owl? o:
Thanks so much! I have never done a horse before but I would certainly be willing to give it a go! And the snowy owl is currently up in my etsy shop for $150. =)
pretty jewelry! i've been trying to get my etsy off the ground as well, not as easy as it appears, i promise!
No problem! =)
Thanks, I like the hair bows in your shop too! Yeah I have noticed that it is slow going with the etsy shop, best of luck with yours. =)
