Today is a day full of Christmas blessings! My brother called today and spoke with my dad. It's been about a year since hearing from him. My niece called my dad and I. It's been about 2 years since we've heard from her. AND...My nephew (dad's grandson) called my dad and I. It's been about 5 years since we've heard from him. For the first time, my dad was able to talk to his very first great grandson, who is 3 years old. My dad was pretty happy and telling our relatives about being able to talk with his kids, grandkids and great grandkid.

To you all, Thank you all for the wonderful gifts! hugs I am still working on getting mine out to everyone. I haven't been here much this year, so I'm earning as I go. lol

I apologize I was unable to get my gifting done in advance, heck I didn't even send out Christmas Cards in real life because I have been so busy. I promise to thank everyone individually and get some gifting done over the next week or two. My oldest daughter is in town for only another week, got to spend as much time with her as I can! Still caring for a cat recovering from surgery, he is doing pretty well except for having to wear the cone of shame and being isolated from the other cats who now hiss at him :( Yesterday went well (I hosted a bunch of my in-laws for dinner), food was good as was the company but it was a long day/week! and my back hurts! I woke up this morning with a sore left wrist/thumb, hurts to grip or lift something with that hand, no idea what I did to it :/ First Christmas without my dads physical being (he couldn't talk to us the last few years because of ftd) so I was a bit down, but keeping busy kept me from thinking about it... I have to do a few more loads of dishes before the kitchen will be clean again, lol!! So I would say it was a great Christmas.
