just figured i'd try my hand at all this--

what do you think? it's mostly just a practice i'm not sure how many people would be genuinely interested in this item but

it's mostly to make sure i've got the style and feel for it all down O:

I think you probably have to darken the shading and add more lineart inside the wig because now it looks really like a sticker and the black outline stands out harshly. The bells look really cute c:

http://i.imgur.com/iOXD8P2.png Hey I remember you when you tried to make your first cws! ^_^ I'm glad you went with a neutral colour instead of colours that are super hard to use. I love the improvement that you've had. The first thing I would have to say is the bell and the ears are too much for a newer cw artist. I think the ears need more shading and the bells take away from the design. Doing things like ears is rly hard because they need tons of shading and I don't really think that it's easy to do. I would suggest you focus more on the wig. Also when drawing wig you should put it on a base with eyes and possibly a mouth just to see how it looks and if the bangs are too high or too low. however besides that I'm noticing that it frames the face a little oddly. And I would agree with Athene that the wig needs inner lines because it really looks weird without it. This is looking super cuteee! Don't give up.

oh! i think i remember you commenting before-- those were pretty hard colors to work with, haha. i wish i still had the files, or i'd go back to em!

it's been a year since then and i've definitely improved across the board with my art; could probably make 'em look a lot better.

i was thinking the ears needed more shading, though! aaand i might not remove the bells but they might do better in a different shade or more silvery color...

thanks for commenting!

The only reason I suggested you remove the ears and bells is because slot filling is not as easy anymore. As you are a new artist it will be even harder. When putting out an item you have to think about who's going to slot. By adding accessories, it can really affect the amount of interest. Some people love layering their own accessories or headpieces and if you have your own attached to a wig, it makes it less easy to use. I would suggest separating the ears for a separate item maybe. They still need a lot shading in my opinion but they are cute. I understand the bells and ears are your unique style but perhaps but out a version without the bells because that might appeal to people more. Also another reason adding accessories makes it easier to get denied if the accessories are not properly integrated into the hair or if done poorly. They definitely hone in on those things and it might make the process harder.
