I don't understand what you're asking for. Do you want like, some kind of database or what? Most food items are named after what they're based off of. Anything else, I don't see why you can't just ask the artist that drew it. I don't really think this counts as a suggestion.

I guess maybe for pets or the more inspired clothing lines (Giselle's musical artist + disney character is one of the coolest ideas for a line and I wouldn't mind seeing references for that kind of stuff, but for the majority of stuff it just seems pointless.

So you want the artists to share all their references? Wouldn't be that a waste of their precious time?

Certainly for the food items, i mean: you can google, right?

I think it would be easier, faster, and more helpful to just ask specific questions about a particular item or items you're interested in - and by that I mean make a thread - rather than have the Subeta artists post references every time they release a batch of items. Or if you just need pictures for reference, use Google. I can understand maybe wanting some background on the Subeautique clothing lines or possibly a few holiday items, but most everything else is named in a pretty straightforward fashion.

As far as how the artists make the items look realistic, that's a matter of technique, hard work, and practice. That's different from having references. If you're wanting some tips on improving your own art, there are lots of resources available to you - an art forum here, Google, books, etc. - that you can use as you see fit and at your own pace.

If the artists here want to share their references/inspirations/what have you, that's great! But I don't think they should have to do that.

I'm sure the artists would be nice enough to chat if you comment or sMail them about a newly released item. This kind of thing seems much better suited to their deviantART and Tumblr accounts, as opposed to instating something here.
