Pretty sure this never used to pop up before...

This page is asking you to confirm that you want to leave - data you have entered may not be saved.

I'm getting this confirmation every time I try to leave a CW shop. It happens if I click to go to another page (unless it opens in a new tab), or if I close the tab the CW shop is loaded in.

It makes sense to have this for CW creators who may have been adding items, but why is it appearing for people who are just browsing the shops?

My alert asks me to confirm I want to navigate away from the page and says

Please do not use the back button on this page, it could result in purchasing items twice!

Which is a problem I know has been happening fairly often :x ( !)

It's annoying, and I kind of hope some other method (that does not include that popup alert) could be figured out, but so far at least makes our csc safer I guess (:

It would be nice if the pop up can be removed, but if it's keeping people from accidentally buying stuff twice it sounds like a good thing. Less annoying than losing CSC! :)

I haven't seen that message though. Makes more sense than the one I've been getting. So I guess the pop up itself is intentional, but I'm getting the wrong message on it for some reason? The one I've been getting does seem as if it's aimed at creators.

Yeah I agree! With so many people having issues with cart items not being actually purchased, I'm sure the UAs have a lot on their plate without having to deal with double CW purchases right now D:

Are you using Firefox, by any chance? I'm using Chrome, so that might be it ^_^; Maybe Chrome's script allows for "customized" messages (since staff probably wrote that line I got on mine) while Firefox might only use that same default message, but this is a random guess :x It's a fairly random popup so I wish they had pinged siteupdate or idk, mentioned somewhere that they were adding this script, so people wouldn't worry about it... oh well.

Thought I'd say I've experienced a double purchase of my entire cart due to a bad gateway error. I didn't even press the purchase button twice or go back... I just closed the tab and checked my inventory and BAM. Now I'm broke! I've filed a ticket, but thought I'd mention double purchases are already occurring 😭

I am using Firefox, but I would have thought they could customise the message for that too. Hopefully someone on staff can explain what's going on with that.

A lot of people have been having issues with the cart. Yesterday I had to file a ticket because of missing items.

turns out I was also missing one item! It's great to see that staff added the cart "warning" at the top of the CS :)

Just checked it out and I'm not getting the warning message any more.
