so I bought what I thought was the entire series of Hell girl, but I am on amazon and they advertised Hell Girl three vessels and Hell Girl 2 mirrors and I can't tell if I already own it or if it's something I need to own. and when I wiki it it shows only 24 episodes of the series....which I have.

Do I need to start rapid buying or do I own all of them already?

Also how great was this Anime?!

Hell Girl - or Jigoku Shoujo in japanese - has three seasons in total. :)

Mirrors is the second season while Vessels is the third. I think you already own the first one, so you might be interested in buying the other two as well. And if I recall correctly... the first season has 26 episodes. o.o So either you have a typo there or you're missing two episodes.

I've seen all the seasons and it's actually pretty interesting. The first season is mostly around little cases the Hell Girl is following while the other seasons clear up more of the actual story behind the anime. To be honest at first it gets a bit repetitive because you practically know nothing about why they do the things they do... also it lacks information about the main characters which gets clearer at the end of season 1. But if you reach season 2 it gets more and more intense focusing mostly on the Hell Girl and her background. Season 3 is semi-connected with the previous ones. You may ask yourself what that means but telling you would be a little spoiler, so I shut my mouth lol. But it's interesting and it has quite the 'WOW WHAT' effect in some episodes. I really enjoyed that and I couldn't stop watching.

So yeah... if you don't mind the things I've said above, you should definitely give it a go. Also thumbs up for the creepy soundtrack it comes with. Gives you the chills with headphones.

Yup I need to do some serious buying... after christmas. So thanks for clearing it up. (I just misquoted the wikipage on the episode #). I love season one. And now I need the other 2.

You're welcome. Season 1 was indeed great. But the other two are much better, so you can definitely look forward to it. :p May I ask why you don't watch them online? Or do you buy them mostly for collecting and the extra stuff they come with?

I have issues watching them online. I have a decent computer but for some reason when I watch anything online it gets kind of glitchy. not to mention there are usually a ton of ads and waiting. Plus I like owning movies. I'm an addict, though my anime selection is minimal.

Yeah, crappy streams are lagging horribly sometimes. Your computer isn't at fault tho. I guess if you had found a decent site back then, you would actually be able to watch them without issues.

Oh, collecting is great. I should probably do the same, but I'm too addicted to watching streams... it's kind of a hassle ordering decent anime seasons where I live without suffering from the horrible dub they come with. -.-

I use to use crunchyroll.com then they started charging. then they got weird and overly ady. It's too expensive to buy anime, that's why I only buy if I LOVE the anime. like I have all of the slayers, and FLCL (special edition), Shin Chan, and Hell Girl. I also have the first couple episodes of Nana, but the animation was frustrating so I stopped there (I got a good deal and I loved the manga but bad animation hurts so I got the live action instead).

I miss working in my music/movie store. I could get some really good discounts i I timed it right (I got the entire friends series for only $50). but alas movie stores are a thing of the past.

Sorry for the delay, I must have somehow missed your ping. D: But yeah, I used to watch on that site as well but when they started getting crappy I found otakustreamers. It gets updated very regularly and the streams have good quality/sound. Now it's my only source for watching anime, especially new ones.

A nice collection of series you have there. :) Unfortunately I have just a few DVDs of some series I enjoyed as I was little. Nothing I would watch again.

Oh, we still have some movie stores around where I live. But they do sell other stuff as well like games for pc and console. But their business is running and it's nice how many people are still buying movies there instead of just downloading them.

it's ok.

I'll have to try otakustreamers. is it .com or .net? have you tried dramafever.com? for live action shows (mostly korean but they have a few other shows too).

I rewatch flcl every now and then. I havent watched slayers in a long time, but it's still one of my favorites.

We had an awesome one (where I had worked). sold music, video games and movies (new and used). Then they closed and now we only have walmart, and they only have movies I already have. and their anime is a joke.
