Guys. I'm tellin' ya. This game is something else! XD

I've spent about 40 hours plus on this game already~ And the best part is that you can (and in some cases it's encouraged) play with your friends :D

It's an RPG where you pick a life and build up your craft~ :D If you play or start playing, I recommend you start with a "physical" warrior type class rather than a crafting one... Cuz you'll be able to kill things and level up for stats easier~

If you've not seen it, I recommend you check it out :DD

EDIT: I just saw that someone else made a post about this too~ XD My bad T___T

I would definitely have already bought it if not for SSB, Harvest Moon and Pokemon already being/been released all around the same time. ;-; It's on my list of games to get asap though! It looks amazing.

I pretty much finished the game, as in, I'm creator in all 12 lives, I have the gear I wanted and beat all of the final quests this weekend. The only thing I have not done yet is hit level 200!

I can't wait for the new Harvest Moon game in February, omg... Or was it January? LOL... T__T I really wanna play it... Story of Seasons, right? Or are you playin' the other one? Also: SSB? Super Smash Bros? :X

It is pretty fun :DD I enjoy it.

Dang, goes to show how worth it the game is LOL... How many hours did it take you to get all that? And you have the DLC too of course... For level 200? :P What level are you? :D

I'm actually not sure when Story of Seasons comes out, I know it's sometime early 2015. It's the one I'm most excited for. But I gave in and bought The Lost Valley, which I really am not enjoying and haven't actually played past 7 in game days. :x The lack of available bachelors is bothering me and the graphics in general are definitely not my taste. I don't like Minecraft at all, and that's what the game feels like. I wouldn't recommend it, but that's just my opinion. I've played Harvest Moon since I was young and the Lost Valley is the first one that I really haven't enjoyed. Maybe if I can force myself to play it longer, it will grow on me. Who knows!

Ah, yeah, I'm not 100% sure either, I've heard the same as you. I think the release date is somewhere but... Meh @ Google LOL I gotta wait anyway, so.. Rather not get my hopes up if they decide to change it.

How come you're not enjoying it? I guess it doesn't compare to the actual Japanese company that makes the games, eh? That whole fiasco with Natsume and the like I mean... It is after all... Not by the same creators as the original Harvest Moon games~ So, I don't blame you. :)

Wow, nice! That's quite a lot of time... I wonder how long it'll take me LOL... Which Life is your favorite?

Hunter for the fighting lives, carpenter for the crafting ones, and miner for the gathering ones

Carpenter, yes. Miner, not so much, unless you compliment it with blacksmith and even there, carpenter is easier in the arly game.

The anvil of the blacksmith is also somewhat finnicky

I seriously thought that no one has ever heard of this game, so I was disappointed but thank god some players have appeared. YES. The crafting jobs rakes you in with more Dosh, but I first started with the gathering jobs to get materials ahead of time. It's the combat classes that I suck on no matter how many times I have to respec my stats. fufu

Gotcha! I'll have to try Carpenter! I want my Al Maajik home already --; I still haven't bought it yet...

How is it finnicky?

Yeah... I'm surprised that this game isn't more popular for RPG fans! Then again, I guess a majority of the "good" rpgs are on PS3 and PC... Or so I've been told... How come you suck at combat classes? It's alllll about the kiting this game ;DD LOL

Which crafting jobs did you like the most? :)

Unlike the Cook, Carpenter and Alchemist "bash A" minigame, where you can just mash A as fast as possible, the anvil needs a slightly more precise rate, and is the hardest out of the four a-mashing tools, from what i found.

The tailor life does not have a A mashing minigame, making it the easiest out of the crafting life at high-levels.

Also, if you want to be a blacksmith, you have to be a tailor, and I believe a carpenter at some point, for some components.

Sorry for the late reply. I've been out of town. eep

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

The fact that you can pretty much juggle all 12 Life classes is what makes combat classes hard for me due to the stats. Like yeah I can switch to a specific combat class whenever I have to go and battle a boss for a certain Life quest or something, but I always feel that my character is weak or probably due to the fact that I have awful equipment. The option to respec the stats after you finish the main storyline does help a bit, but I'm just personally picky. I only made it to Creator on Mercenary while every other class is either Hero or Demi-Creator.

I actually like the cooking class... despite getting hungry every time when I make the food. HAHA. Alchemy is pretty nifty too... adding monster dung to bombs is so fun...

LOL, to be honest, the cooking class makes me want to learn to cook in real life sometimes --; It gives me ideas for things that I want to cook for myself or find to eat somewhere~ XD Ah, yeah, equipment can definitely change everything~

Is respecing actually needed though? Or is level 100 enough to max all the stats? I'm only like, level 35? Or something?

... Monster dung to bombs... LOL XDDD

I think the only thing I would cook are the omelettes as well as preparing sushi and sashimi, but things like "Sea Bream of Love" has me cackling.

I wouldn't say respecing is needed unless you feel that your stats aren't great to support all jobs or if you want to support a select few. I have the DLC added so the max level for me is 200, but even without the DLC I don't think just being level 100 is enough even with max stats.

GOLDEN DUNG EXISTS IN THE GAME TOO. MONSTER DROPPINGS EVERYWHERE.

That sounds so good though... SEA BREAM OF LOVEEE xD I'll cook that for the next romantic dinner I go on xD

... Golden... Dung... I haven't seen the dung anywhere yet xD Is that part of the DLC?

Catching the blasted fish for the soup drives me nuts though. I need more luck or something. x_x

I think it is part of the DLC. There are a few items that are new if you have it, like these candies (different from Pam's candy) that boost up one point depending on what stat the candy is for.

I've tried almost every class. The ones I haven't tried are the mercenary, paladin, hunter, and cook. I'll get around to the cook eventually. I completed the main story just yesterday and started the DLC, but haven't got around to finishing it. I decided I needed to actually play Alpha Sapphire.

My favorite classes are the wizard, alchemist, and carpenter. I enjoy making furniture to decorate my homes with, and it's always nice being able to make my own SP and HP potions.

Yeah, I played this game a good bit. My character is almost level 50, and I'm currently trying to master all the skills. After they are all mastered I will finish all the remaining quests for each one by one. I do want to get the dlc sometime later, and play with people online. :)
