Has anyone done this yet? How does it work exactly (costs, etc)?

I'm thinking of submitting a CW that way but don't know the ins and outs. Also, can you limit the amount of that item once you put it into your shop (similar to the ones that are currently in the CS set as "unlimited", but you can then choose, if you want, to put a set number to it once sent to the shop)?

The only little bit I know of this is from the Submissions page:

The cost varies based on the type of item, for a 5k item it costs 1600 CSC (it'll tell you on the submission page when you check off Direct to CW Shop)

You can set the price, and the exact number of copies you want available.

so initially it'll cost me 1600 CSC to submit directly to shop (it will be a companion)?

Yup, you pay for the item to put it into the queue and then you just get an event if it gets accepted and one item placed in your inventory, then it shows up in your shop to edit price and number for sale and things c:

So I did shorts that went directly into my shop but it won't let me price them or categorize them?

That's probably a limitation because of the Black Friday sale (all prices are locked in place for the duration of it)! If everything goes as planned, tomorrow you should be able to edit prices and categories c:
