Hello guys,
I would greatly appreciate your help with this little problem I have, that happens only on Chrome. I'm working currently on this profile: http://subeta.net/pets/deBoer And the hover trasition works fine on every other section absolutley perfectly, but when it comes to the minion, it is switches back after going through the transition. I have NO idea if you do also have this issue, but I do have it, and I have it only in Chrome, and I really don't know how to fix this :(
I really hope you can help me and tell me what the heck I did wrong.

Hey there! I just tried it out on IE, Firefox and Opera, this issue only happens in Opera, too, in Firefox and IE it works out perfectly fine The only problem is, I just can't see any mistakes in your code :( Maybe Opera and Chrome have some problems with webkit itself? but then it actually should have some problem with the other two sections x_x maybe you should contact sonata? She is awesome at coding and helped me a lot!
As far as I know this is an with the webkit-browsers (chrome and opera, possibly safari as well). There's been a lot of hover and scrolling issues with them since their last updates.
I honestly find it weird that it's just the minion though. No clue why.
Like I can replicate the problem in Opera but not in IE/Mozilla. Surprisingly not in Comodo Dragon either, which usually reacts veery similar to Chrome. In Opera it seems to vanish after the transition is done when I hover over it in inspect element mode, which couuuuld account for it switching back but it's all more than a little bizarre.
come see a puzzle? xD :P
Too slow. I was already here. :P
Got you a fix. I have no clue what bug this issue is related to and why does it seem to be striking so randomly [I just found out one of my transitioning profiles refuses to work in new Opera but not the other.] Anyway, adding this to the code seems to kick the webkit magic back into gear xP

Thank you all so so so much, it finally worked with Silverfish's suggestion!! :D That makes me very happy, I would be lost without this fix. So my sweet pet will finally get a proper profile. Now I only have to write a nice little story for him and fix up the last issues and he is done ^^ That really made my day!! Thank you all so much! <3

Haha, no problem! I didn't notice this bug and you couldn't open a single tab in my affected profile, so I'm probably at least as glad as you that there IS a fix :P Best of luck finishing him~ (Also, just wanted to say that treasure item effect is a really cool idea ❤)
Puh, I'm glad too! ALL of my profiles are affected, so I am super grateful for this! ^^ And thank you! I hope I can finish him soon! Not really have an idea if it would be enough for a pet spotlight (not even sure how the whole stuff works, haha), but making him the way which I imagine him and have a nice profile for him would make me already super happy. He is a very previous OC to me :)

@ Maruun Haha, no worries about that, the profile looks fantastic (and so does the art, may I ask who drew it?), I wish I had half the graphics skills you do ^^ Spotlight, spotlight... do you mean more like the technical side of spotlight queue/choosing the winner part or content requirements? The latter: if you do want to submit him for spotlight art/profile/story credits are usually mandatory even if you really did all the things yourself, you might also want to have someone look through the story and check it for grammar/punctuation mistakes :)
Thank you so much ^^ I drew the picture myself. you can find my on dA with the name nazzba.
Uh, I mean actually all of these ^^; I just see those pretty profiles every day and was wondering how the whole works. So if I did all things myself, then I just credit myself? xD Sounds quite funny, but on well if that's one of the rules ^^ Hmm, the story will be quite a challenge still, I would love to tell everything about him as he has a really moving past, but that would be too much. I'm bad with picking just one passage or so. I don't know if my friends here on subeta would have enough patience to endure all my babbling and ranting about my OC once I've started over to write with them about his profile, or have enogh time to proof-read. Well, I don't have many friends here though, I'm rather shy to talk to others mostly ^^; Is it the way that somebody else has to nominate your pet for pet spotlight?

...damn. Nicee. Now I wish I had half of your drawing skills as well xD
Yeah, you can credit yourself just to be safe. Technically they say you don't have to, but if you actually do everything yourself, it looks a bit like you forgot to put credit in at all x]
There is a list of requirements/guidelines you can have a look at [here], what it boils down to is: overall clean look/art, no eyeburning colors or extremely hard to read text, nothing that looks unfinished, decent grammar/spelling, no graphic descriptions of gore or particularly nasty swearwords (Subeta is a PG13 site but they don't want anything too extreme on the front page). Also, if you are removing the owner name html element, the owner has to be somewhere else and still a link to the user profile [not sure if listed there but that at least used to be a rule] and if your pet is called, say, 'Angel.' you cannot hide it and pretend the '.' isn't there :)
As for actual process, when you have a pet you consider ready for spotlight and want to submit it, you go to spotlight options and check it in a box as ready. There is now a link on their profile that only other people can see [people usually position that by looking at the profile in a browser they are not logged in on] and someone has to see the pet and like it enough to click on it. Or you can talk a friend into it I suppose, haha. The pet ends in a queue where it waits for an admin to look at it and be rejected or accepted into a winning queue. Pets in a winning queue get chosen randomly every day for the spotlight, pets who didn't get in can be fixed and submitted again in seven days.
Ahh, I feel you about the story, I have a couple of characters whose stories and backstories take years and I just... do I write just a single scene that is significant in some way, or do I try to hint at the larger whole, but sacrifice some of the personality I could be getting through? It's a dilemma and the fact that most Subeta writers seem to be more interested in writing short and cute stories doesn't help, haha.
Well, I'm not sure you'd want to talk about your ocs with a stranger (even though I'm totally offering, I'm always interested in well-developed oc rants! And to be honest, I could probably really use people to rant to myself...) but I'd be happy to do at least some sort of quick grammar/language check for you, if you wanted? I'm not a native speaker, but I can get rid of some of the more obvious stuff c:
sorry the late reply, things going crazy here lately xD
That's true, if I don't put any credits down, then it really looks as if I have forgotten xD
Uh thank you for the explanations, I tried to proceed another profile just to see how it works with the spotlight tag. It is not completely finished, but close to be finished though. It is my Japanese warrior Kenji --> http://subeta.net/pets/Commander%20K. So, a few things still missing, like the names of the new tabs and I noticed my Username isn't visible. If we take that would be fixed, would it then be ready and appropriate for a spotlight? I really would love to try it at least once, tbh. I would be super excited if one of my boys would get a littlbe bit of spotlight in public ^^; Kenji's profile also contains a link to Sasa. Does Sasa's profile also has to be done and finished?
And yes, with the stories it is such a dilemma. I sometimes feel as if I have too over-complicated characters, but on the other hand, they are vampires (most of them) and have quite some years they have already lived. That not makes it easier, I know. The idea of putting a vitae in the profile - like I did with Kenji - not always works though. sigh
Oh, be aware that I might chew your ear off if you offer to listen my rants! But in return I am also very interested to hear about other OCs! I'm not a native speaker myself, my mother tongue is German, but you are right four eyes see more than two. I also wouldn't mind to have somebody to work together on profiles here, and by exchanging ideas and such some new ideas might be born. So... if you are interested, I am open for mutual rant, chat and more :3
