Usually they do this for specific reasons ie testing and what not, i wonder what it is this time.
Shop revamp maybe? They could just be wanting to get rid of a ton of items from user shops XD

It seems they are just buying up items they think are 'undervalued'. I was more curious over why the SP goes to onhand instead of profits...

I think it's because of those shop till achievements. I guess they think it would be an unfair advantage for that?

They've mostly bought up some of the rarer trading cards from my shop, but a few other things as well. It seems the recent Saggi quest weekend wasn't as effective at raising the prices of devalued items as they'd hoped.

Mostly I'm rebuilding the method we use to buy up these items - it's really server intensive so I'm trying to write a bunch of code that makes it a lot easier for us to do this a little more frequently for items that we feel like have dropped below their value (including CS items)
