Absolutely. There were some high points and low points in it. Though Demon!Dean telling Sam how it is mostly makes up for the stuff I didn't like.

Yeah, I have to admit, I actually laughed a good bit at that. I feel as though Dean really has put up with a lot of what Sam's done, without really venting. Sure, he confronted him, but you know how he is with feelings. It probably wasn't ever to the extent he needed.

Exactly, he's needed to say that for a long time. I can understand why he didn't because he's emotionally constipated. (thanks for that John) But I'm kind of wishing the demon thing lasted longer?

It's not like it was a typical demon thing. It was the mark of cain for goodness sake.

YEAH, I totally wasn't expecting it to be that easy. I mean, it seemed like they had a lot more trouble with Crowley, for Christ's sake, and he doesn't have the mark. Different circumstances, but it was written to be a Big Deal. This? Very anticlimactic.

Exactly so. I am kind of hoping Dean was faking it or it'll wear off. Something like that. Also, really annoyed with the angels inability to understand free will and human concepts. Castiel was teaching them about it in the season with the leviathans. They should have got it by now.

I don't think he was faking it, since the holy water had no effect, but I'm thinking that it might be a struggle with battling it off again throughout the season? That's the only way I can make sense of this major turn.

ANGELS, MAN. I'm thinking that they're trying to make it seem like a handful of them get it - the ones over the past couple episodes that fought to stay, for example - but the ones that really didn't get it were ironically the ones that clung to Castiel, since he was their chance at getting back in the gates and the closest thing they could get to a leader.

Which might be why I'm just not getting the whole Hannah thing. She's just not getting it, and yet she's sweet on the freethinker. o k a y .

I was kind of wondering given his original purpose, blood connection to Cain and so on that he might have different abilities than the rest. I hope they do otherwise it was a pretty pointless event to happen really. You can't toss in a plot point like that and do nothing with it.

I don't know I mean you would think more of them would want to be on their own after that whole mess with who to follow, who is right. It's a bit like Lucifer and Michael all over again only with less fighting?

Don't feel bad I'm not getting it either. She's also just too flat of a character. Where's the spine she seemed to have last season gone? I mean honestly all she seems to do is moon over Cas who is obviously like - stop embarrassing yourself.

Right? It was an interesting twist, considering that he was once intended to be the vessel for (speaking of!) Michael. WOAH, he's suddenly the bad guy, etc... but letting that fall flat would just be beyond ridiculous. Come ooooon!

True that. Hm, maybe they're just trying to elevate the purpose of Castiel becoming human to understand them - provide more contrast. :|a

Totally agree on Hannah seeming... just something less this season. I'd hate for another female to be written into the weaker support position for plot points, yet again. :c I was also hoping that Cas' talk with her would have her shake out of it and stand up, buuut then she became the damsel in distress. Weak.

Crowley stepping up to help Castiel was really interesting, though. I liked that.

I still want my Charlie in Oz spin off dang it. Bloodlines flopped because it was just a rehash of the original series with small lore differences. Still that horrible manpain driven plot.

The women of this show don't live long or disappear in to the ether after they serve their plot point purpose. I'm interesting in seeing what they do with Jimmy (Cas's Vessel's daughter) she's supposed to be back this season. As a troubled teenager?

Crowley was just too much this episode. Between his bromance with Dean to that bit with Cas. I'm just like someone still might be a bit more human than he wants to admit.

YES, why didn't they work on that spin-off, rather than Bloodlines? I'm so glad that series got cancelled, it was just full of terrible cliches, and the lore background that connected it to Supernatural was terribly skewed, anyway. I mean, they completely reworked the take on changers to have more appeal. Can't have and goopy skin peeling off during sexytimes, you know!! So dumb.

As for Jimmy, I was surprised to see that they were going to bring her back into the mix, but I have no idea what to expect from it, either... Maybe they're just trying to hit Castiel with more problems... love interest, troubled daughter figure... very strange.

Crowley, though. Crowley. He's too ridiculous not to love.

That was one of the things that absolutely made me rage. Why would you establish a certain lore set up then change it? Even in the main series when something didn't quiet match up they had a viable explanation - like the Jefferson Starships that Lilith was making the hybrid monsters.

Almost dying wasn't enough apparently. Though I'm a bit curious how Claire was able to be Castiel's vessel because weren't only a select few supposed to be able to? It'd be something worth exploring.

I honestly want more back story on Crowley. I still can't quite get over him shouting about how he deserves to be loved and so on. He can't have just been talking about his son.

Precisely that. Even loopholes can be dismissible, but when it's intentionally done for cheap reasons? Pls.

Haha, RIGHT? I do think they said something about Claire being capable because she was a descendant or something, but I can't quite remember... I still occasionally laugh about that, though. Could you even imagine if he kept that vessel? Things would be so different.

I'd looove to have more back story on Crowley, too. ^ Aside from the extra three inches deal, that is.

Oh thank GOODNESS some else is noticing Hannah.... or lack thereof. She's really ... annoying. I don't know what happened but she's become a retarded drip. I'm hoping it's temporary, and honestly I DON'T want to see her go googly eyed for Cas, that's just.... trite. Other than that, I am truly enjoying how this season has started, and may have wondered the whole dean/crowley/cas triangle for a few minutes, because, my head is a bad bad bad place.

Ooh other people that enjoy the show! I'm absolutely addicted, and loving the new season so far - demon dean was fun, but I'm actually quite happy that he was 'cured' quite quickly - although the new caps I've seen for future episodes don't seem fully 'dean' - I'm sure that mark will cause some trouble later in the series!

To sum it up:

I didn't know I'd like Kate as the episode is premiered in was the one I hated the most out of the series (I don't like the majority of found footage movies so when I heard Supernatural was doing one I groaned).

This season was promoted as the season of the DEANmon and he gets cured within the first THREE episodes? I am so hoping that he's not fully cured now because argXD

I've tried watching it but i still love adventure time and ridiculous anime or cartoons….i fear i will never grow old aha in my mind of course :P

I need to get back into this show. I really enjoyed Season 1 and then I just never got around to finishing it. The episode in the first season with the demon who had long creepy fingers and stole children s' soles scared the bejeezus out of me...

It was another hilarious meta episode (even with Sam and Dean commenting that they hate the meta episodes). It, to me, was a bunch of good fun celebrating the 200th episode =D
