I'd love to see a fast pass for the patch, like we have for trick or treating. Maybe not as frequent. You could tie it into Jaxon being missing....er I mean on holiday.

You get to sneak past Ian because he's so busy researching. Or he just shoos you away to quit bugging him.

Edit: for a couple of good alternate suggestions

suggested maybe we could just sneak an extra turn while Ian has his back turned or something.

suggested occasionally getting double items, like with Shinwas quests, but less frequently.

Considering the patch wait times are sometimes up to over an hour, this would be fantastic. Maybe not even a fast pass the way we have one for ToT, maybe we could just sneak an extra turn while Ian has his back turned or something.

Guh please let this be implemented. We already have it for ToTing, I see no reason for the Patch not to have it.

I would think that they have patch times set to an hour because they want it to be slow. In either case, I think it's better to have some holiday things like this with long tedious wait times. The items keep their rarity better which is better for the subetan economy.

I would love this. The wait time, especially for the patch, to me, is incredibly long.

I'm not saying the time in general should be lowered, but rather a small chance of being able to go in a little more often occasionally. Or even, like said, a chance to sneak in an extra pick from the patch from time to time.

With the sheer number of new items, and the high odds of getting old items, a few extra chances at the patch isn't going to reduce the value of the items much. Also, I've had rare event items mouldering around in my shop for eons because, even though rare, people just aren't going to spend that much sP on things. So having a few more in circulation might actually be beneficial.

I think that even a small amount more is too much more, the site really needs randomly obtainable high value items. The higher the value the better, and generally, the rarer the higher the value, as long as the item is usable/collectable etc. It's good for the economy because someone happening upon a decent amount of wealth is likely to spend that money on something(s) they want/need but wouldn't have bought otherwise, which cycles more sP around, and again the more the merrier.

As far as rare and expensive items being hard to sell, this is unfortunately mostly due to subeta's relatively small active daily user base and the subeta mentality that eventually items like that will be re-released en masse so there's no need to buy now for a higher price unless they REALLY need/want it (which they often are and in a small way would be from even just a small increase in pumpkin patch visits/user/day). Subeta also unfortunately has a habit of quick-selling everything! Everyone wants discounts on everything because everyone offers discounts on everything because they expect to get discounts on the items they want etc. etc. It's really a vicious cycle that hinders merchanting which helps larger quantities of items and sP flow around.

I write this not to complain or rant, only to suggest that being in the habit of keeping rare items as rare as possible, given their use and demand, is really a very much needed step in the right direction towards keeping long-term stability in the subetan economy. Everyone benefits when money flows around and though it could be argued that quick-selling items means it's flowing around faster, it would be just as true to say it's flowing around in sufficiently less quantities. Hopefully having more rare and high priced items will encourage people to try and get a bit more for their items (aka not %OffEverythingAlways) which (granted over a rather long period of time) could drastically change the subetan economy for the long term and for the better.

sure, but usable/collectable= unbuyable because there end up being none in shops, while other stuff sits around being unsellable. I run across this all the time. Its a very fine line between being desirable and expensive, but buyable, having enough onsite for people to keep and use themselves as well as to sell for a good profit.

how about having it like shinwa but like 1/15-20 chance of getting two items items.

That's a good idea too. I'll update the OP with this, and the suggestion about an extra chance to pick rather than a fast pass.

I'd love this! Any variation! I my wait times seem to be increasing each time and it's incredibly frustrating! I know we've still got ten days left, but a little boost every now and then will not go amiss.

I like this idea :) Even if the times are not reduced, randomly being able to get a second item also sounds good.

Yes please because this

"You have 0 hours 44 minutes and 6 seconds remaining until until you can go through the patch again."

makes me super sad.

Over 50m and unbuyable aren't the same thing, if that's what you meant, if you meant that none are being sold, then I think that that is a good thing because it means they have a lot of value and people aren't willing to sell them to the first bidder. The unsellable portion I assume you mean items that aren't really useful and get devalued due to constant user shop pricing and what-not. I agree that it's a problem that could be slightly rectified by having a lower supply, and luckily quests like cinthia and quentin take some out of the system. And for having enough on-site for people to keep some for themselves and sell to others, this is an ideal situation that can't exist. The easier it is for people to simply obtain the item themselves, even if only a small bit easier, the less likely they are to buy it from someone else, that either means it doesn't sell or it sells for lower. That's just how supply and demand and opportunity cost of time work :/. As much as people don't want to see items they really want selling for 50-100m or even more, it's really a good thing. Eventually people will get over the "there's no way I'm spending that much moeny for that type of money because there's no precedent for it" and then the precedent will change and random people will become suddenly wealthy with a lucky item pick, and then start buying things they want and the money spreads out to people they buy from who will in turn spread it out further presumably. There aren't many people who are so miserly with their money that there's nothing they're looking to buy :).

I prefer the idea of having a random extra chance or a rare shot at double items (from the same section) over having a fast pass. Yeah, collection/usable items have a [low] chance at disappearing completely, but there's nothing wrong with that. ToT items are going to be in abundance, so let's have some rare stuff to balance it out.
