HEAVY BREATHING WHY HAS NO ONE TALKED ABOUT THIS YET? ...Unless I'm blind because I haven't seen a thread made for this game.
This cute game!
For those who haven't heard of it, it's like a Level-5 (company who makes the Professor Layton series) version of Rune Factory. There are 12 "lives" you can choose, which are the classes/jobs within the game, ranging from combat types, gathering types, and crafting types! You can do quests, fight monsters, master your life, customize your character, etc. Pretty much what you normally do in a RPG kind of sim. Only available for the Nintendo 3DS. The Official Site for those of you who want to look into it more.
It's coming out on Friday, the 24th for North American players. Is anyone interested in or planning on getting it? Has any Europeans/Australians got it already? What do you think of it?
I've watched the advertisement for it, and it looked okay. I may check it out/get it after it's been out for a while.
So did you pick it up and play it? I finished it a few weeks ago (finished as in reached god ranking on all professions). I loved this game so much! Definitely one of my favourite 3ds titles to date.
I picked it up on release day and played it a lot, but once the holidays and more work came I kind of just slowed down. Haha. I only have Tailor, Alchemist, and Cook left to reach god ranking on. hzzzz Do you have a favorite Life?
I started out as a tailor, but I think my favourite life in the end was hunter! They were all quite nice in their own way though, but those crafting minigames got quite annoying after a while. :<
I started out with the gathering jobs because I wanted to have many materials as possible rather than bringing out the Dosh and spend them. I actually like Cook... because of food... I love food. I suck at the combat classes though, or the fact that I don't have proper end-of-the-game equipment. Fuuuu. YEAH. Crafting gets really difficult once you upgrade to a higher rank. I honestly thought something was wrong with my fingers when I had to hold down/repeatedly tap the A button and ended up not getting a 'Great!' or even a 'Nice!' thing. I somewhat think it has to do with the timing unless you pretty much have to rely on your special charge skills from then on. x_x
Yeah I know what you mean! I always used the special skill gauges at that point. It did help to get upgraded tools tho! Then it got a little bit easier again. At some point I had a lot of materials and then did some crafting and it was this endless loop of crafting minigames, then crafting a better tool as another class, then crafting again etc. My god.
The fact that god-ranked crafting jobs require you to level up skills to 15... I'm having a hard time with Tailor and Cook just for this, but with the Lunares Coin quests Pam keeps asking me to get really difficult things like I'M SORRY, LADY, BUT I CAN'T AFFORD TO GIVE YOU A SWORD OF HEROES. This is pretty much the same question we have for the Subeta quests, but what on earth does she do with those things? SIT ON A CHAIR OF ATONEMENT WHILE DRINKING x54402986 GIGA WATER?
Yes. I think she might be evil behind that façade of 'caring motherly figure'. I don't want to know who she puts on the chair of atonement. :X
I just kinda needed to share that I totally underestimated the mage, it's so much fun to play as a mage. And the DLC is amazing too aaaaaaahhhh. I wanna play rn but workkkk
Id love to play with some people, but that is a really hard thing to do. ^^; I have gotten the DLC too, and it is really fun. I like the combat, and the life skill stuff is amazing too. Its to bad the second one is going to be on cell phones only :(
