Yay, a new thread. c: I'm currently remaking my brother's Springfield and whatnot. He doesn't like Halloween so I'm helping him with the stuff as well. ;3;

I love the Grem-Aliens, no idea but they're cute.

Oops, meant to reply to this a while ago! I'm really enjoying the event so far - lots of goodies to get and aliens to squish! I like that so many characters have special quests.

Is he giving you the reigns for a full redesign? I struggled for a bit to work out what to do with the castle items but I've gone for the medieval theme land, like some kind of theme park. Probably quite a dull one. XD

They've just switched it out! Did you get the donut torture device? I did, through the power of donuts (ug) - no idea where to put the thing though :/

I did! I have a couple of premium kids which helped. I won Squeaky Voice Teen from the weekly mystery box a while ago and bought Uter. c: I'm sorry you had to spend your donuts. :c Hopefully this round is easier, but since we're only getting 2 ray guns per squish I'm a bit worried.

I went on the TSTOFriends and added a butt-load of in-game friends. I've gotten 600 ray guns in one day...just...bonkers. Hopefully I'm on track to not have to spend any more donuts, which is great, as I can't afford any more donuts this side of payday! Here's the post to grab new friends if you want to. Though, it's a bit of a swiz that you can only get a certain number of ray guns from neighbours before they just stop giving them out. Ug.

edit - and don't even get me started on the amount of clicking! I consider myself a casual player and this is becoming some kind of commitment XD

Good idea! Thanks. c: Hah, I guess it's so people can't get infinite amounts of ray guns without spending donuts. I think there's an upper friend limit though. Agreed. The game seems to require more and more effort / time to get the prizes - sooner or later casual players are going to end up quitting. It's sustainable for the moment though. :)

Yeah, one person tried to add me and I couldn't accept for a while as they'd maxed out their friends. I tend to get a bit lax when there isn't an event on, but then I'll go to a town and realise I've missed a great free item while I've been awol.

I read that around 10 aliens spawn an hour, but after about 4 hours it reaches the cap limit.

Also - am I the only one finding tonnes of UFOs, and no ammo? In the probe stage a lot of the UFOs gave 50 probes, but this time I'm getting bronze treat bags :/

Yeah, I missed out on the recent Krusty skin. :c Yup. Ammo is hard to come by. :/ Ugh, I hate getting treat bags! They can also give out varying amounts of gummy bears and things, which is useful. It's just random.

Yep! He likes how it came out but I always run out of ideas near the end. :c I've been messing with my town here and there.

the tuxedo? thankfully I was logging in then...there are loads of random things I've missed out on though. The latest Duff blimp from the superbowl, the super collider building and the black whole. And homers grave! ARGH! SO annoyed I missed out on that one for my spooky corner :( Oh well, they might add them later for fremium buying - they did that with the cool brown house, and I'd wanted that for ages. Rather crafty on their part!

I'm holding out for eggs to building the bloody spooky house - I just keep getting stuff to build spooky walls and human test subjects, but I've got several in gift bags already, and I didn't want them. Wish there was some way to trade items! That'd be cool. It's be a pain in the butt for them to make and maintain though, so, I doubt that'll ever happen!

I'll take a look. I LOVE seeing cute ideas in towns, or things that inspire me. I saw a town recently that had all of the melted snow people in front of the snow plow, which is genius! I've never thought of doing that. I redesigned my entire town not too long ago, as I'd maxed out the space. I tried to pack it all a bit tighter, and I'm already getting a bit low on space. Grr. I should have built in more slack and spare lots to put stuff in later, I guess. Maybe next time!

Yup! I don't like spending money on these games so I'll probably never get things I miss out on.

I just started building a spooky house! I don't have nearly enough chocolate bars for the grand pumpkin, but besides that I'm doing well with craft items. Trading would definitely be good, but then no one would spend donuts on the things. : P

I'm so close to getting the spooky house. I'm avoiding rushing anything as this event is due to go on for a little while longer, and I know I'll just be left with loads of pointless spooky walls and human test subjects. They do seem to like to fill our inventories with bundles of crap every event.

Nelson's mum and her strip joint, and the fortress of chocotude just finished building in my town. Though I don't think I've seen the ep with the foprtress in.

I've got the grand pumpkin though. He has one quest with Milhouse, and that's it. He looks super cool though :)

Nice! I'm slowly getting closer to the grand pumpkin, but it seems to be the rarest component for me. Only 70 or so to go. /sigh I haven't received many of the walls but I have had 2 test subjects and a few of the plants. I quite like the plants, so I'm happy with that!

I'm a bit behind at the moment so I haven't leveled up yet, and I probably don't have enough money for the strip joint anyway. The quest line looks... interesting.

I don't actually watch the show, I just play the game. XD Not sure why.

Woah late reply, oops. And yay. c: I also like to like at other towns to see what they've done and sometimes they inspire me. I really want to fix parts of my town though, my best one I've made was my park. xD

I do have bunches of stuff left over but I am trying to save up money to get more land, and stretch it out just a bit.

I love the show. I was never allowed to watch it as a kid, so I watch it any chance I get now. I don't even care if they're old ones I've seen loads of times before.

I had a look at a TSTO site, think it was the friends one linked above, and they showed more items to be crafted/released. It looks like you can make items if you didn't get enough probes or ray guns to get them.

I've finished Mrs Muntz's quest line..it didn't take too long. At least it was better than some building/character combos where you get one quest and that's it. I'm debating whether I want the giant clam thing on pay day. You can't place it on the squid port, it does nothing once placed, and it's huge. I think I just talked myself out of it, didn't I? D

Congrats on the new UN! I've seen some really cool mazes in a couple of Springfields. I wonder how people fit it all in, as I seem to run out of space so easily even when I'm being frugal with it. I've just had a look at your town again. I actually take screenies of things I like in towns for inspiration ( I know, I'm a sad act). I actually took one a week or so ago of your haunted house/giant pumpkin area as I really liked it. I tried making a haunted forest in my Springfield, but because of my lack of future planning I've not left enough space to expand it. Grr. I also really liked what you did with the medieval fighters - it was one of the things that inspired my medieval theme park area. I see you have the giant clam thingy - I'm debating whether I want to get it on pay day. Is it worth it? I'm for sure getting the ghost ship though, that's awesome!

Eee, thank you. I'm glad you like my little pumpkin area. I wanted to make it nice for the Grand Pumpkin since he's one of my favorite things from this event. Once I saw the medieval fighters available, I just had to put them the way I did. At first, they were with the castles but I decided to make a small area for them instead. There is just one quest for it and that's it. I love the ghost ship, I'm not going to lie. Some characters have to go there for quests too.

I heard you can't put the clam theatre on the Squid Port either, which is what I'd like to do as I think that's where it lives in the show. I'm still not too happy with my castles. The rest of that section, and the use of the Happy Hun restaurant/pub is fine..I might change the other side to be a medieval drive in theatre with the bounce place as some kind of concession stand.

They brought back the supercollidor and black hole for donuts, which was brilliant as I wasn't playing when that was originally available. I love it when they do that! I think I've managed to get most things I've missed now. Still debating that giant clam though! argh, the toughness of indecisiveness!

Yep! I bought myself the black hole and they had the Ghost Zapper available too so I got that one. I love it too! When they had a little yard sale before, I got myself the stuff I missed like the Cool Brown House. It's a pretty little thing, haha.

I caved and bought it in the end. Thought I'd regret it if I didn't. Not sure where to place it though, it's gone in to the space at the bottom of my town where new things live until I know what to do with them.

I'm debating putting castle recycle in to the haunted forest, and creating some alien area. What with the queen being a craftable item now. I'd only just found a home for the portals too.

I LOVE the yard sales - I got the cool brown house too. I'd like to see them sell the homer coffin, as I missed that one. It's harder to find the premium content though, as it's no longer got it's own section in the shop. I'd be nice if that was brought back.

I had a fright earlier - it logged me out and I thought I'd logged back in, and I saw the first start square. I thought I'd lost it all. Minor panic! Thankfully, it was just being weird and I logged back in and my springfield was there.
