There don't seem to be any Minecraft threads here! Who plays? I know you're out there! What is your favorite way to play? Favorite servers? What do you think of the Microsoft takeover of the game? Do you think they'll actually 'respect' the game as they've claimed, or do you think they'll ruin it? Do you like 1.8? Do you remember what version was the very first one you played? Share pictures of cool builds you've made or weird stuff you've found!

I've bee playing since around 1.4, and I like to play "co-op" survival with my boyfriend and other friends! I would like to think that Microsoft will keep Minecraft pure, but I'm sure that after all the furor over them acquiring it dies down, they will eventually screw it up, since it seems like they haven't made anything good since Windows X-P XD

My favorite server to play on is probably the one that I run! It's small with unique plugins, and is currently in 'beta', since I need people to play and let me know if they find anything messed up as far as plugins go. It's at geoselenica.mcph.co!

I have a pretty little house that I just finished building there, but I don't have any screenshots of it yet. I'll have to take a few next time I get on so I can share them.

I haven't been able to play minecraft since last january because my video drivers need updating or something? I'm not sure what that means but I sure do miss that game. I loved playing by myself though. I mean, servers were nice and all but you really got to find a trustworthy community that don't grief. There's a thread in this forum called "subetacraft", I used to play on that server and it was great, but there kept being some issues and the worlds kept getting deleted and well, I hate expending time and effort into builds only to have them whisked away into deletion. Ever since I discovered my computer wouldn't run it I've had no interest in it anymore so I didn't even know microsoft took over. That's very unfortunate. I can't remember what version I started in, but it was years ago. I started having issues with my client and was stuck in the version right before the horses came out and I never got to update from there. But that really is unfortunate about microsoft. I interacted with windows 8 for the first time a while ago and it pissed me off so bad I never want to see it again. If I ever get to play minecraft again and they've gone and messed it up like that I will be so mad...

The last time I played minecraft though, I had started a survival skyblock. :) I was very proud of my progress in that. I found this seed that spawns in a village in the sky and I worked hard to get a ton of cobblestone to build a proper floor underneath the town.

Sometimes I get the urge to build, but then I remember I can't play and I get sad. I have the urge right now to build a mall but I can't. :( I usually make my builds look realistic though, and have often followed real house floor plans to make my own house on there. One of my favourite things to do though, is find a ravine, clear it of mobs, light it up nice and pretend that I've got a mining company down there, and build wood walkways and support beams and things. It's silly when I'm oh so alone lol.

Everyone has to do that at least once :D That sucks! I know that my computer can't play version 1.8 because of the video drivers, but I can still play 1.7 and below just fine. Maybe you can too?

Haha, that's pretty funny. A while ago minecraft switched to having a launcher, and you change versions by editing your profile in the launcher menu. I can't remember exactly when the swap to the launcher was, though.

this is a picture of my very first world. I still play on it (well I did, until minecraft stopped working for me). I know my little compound looks pretty nooby but I like it. I remember when I first started I got lost on the other side of the mountain range in the back. It took me forever to figure out where I was and where my stuff was.

There's actually a Subeta Minecraft Server :) There's quite a few of us, and we're always looking for new users ;)

I'll have to check it out sometime!

While I like playing on my own in Vanilla, I ocassionally go on the server the Frostcast runs, both with Hunger Games (even though they got rid of a bunch of their maps D:) and their survival one.

As far as modpacks go, my friends and I are currently working with TPPI which is a third party pack through FTB. It's quite fun. My absolute favorite modpack ever, was definitely Tekkit. With EE3. It was so fantastic to reach endgame items on day two xD

I'll see if I cant find some screencaps from some of the old servers.
