Hey everyone, I just opened up my etsy shop and I am looking for feedback on it, does anything need to be added/removed? Are my posts clear? Should I add a banner? Are my pictures decent? Negative and positive comments please. :) The shop
pinging a few people i think might be interested in the fact i finally opened this...
- Ohmegosh I'm so happy for you! o:
I like the paisley dress but sadly I'll never be able to fit into it. ;-; My hips are a good size 14 and I'm a pretty curvy gal.
The clothes are cute, but also limited - I think you ought to add in some warm colors but also maybe try making winter-themed clothes since winter's coming up soon. The cosmetic bags are nice, but it feels like they lack something. I'm not sure what exactly. Character? They would be really cute with some kind of design in different colors. :) Maybe with some sequins?
I'd say to definitely add a banner. 8D It'll draw people's eye, for starters, and in some cases it's actually quite professional looking. As far as I've seen the posts are clear about how you made the items, but maybe add something about why you like the item/what makes it unique to you/etc? The pictures are decent but in the future, I'd use some form of backdrop. A sheet (white maybe?) for the clothes, just so they really pop and people can get a better idea of them. :) Also in the future try and make different dress sizes for people with more of a bust, or wider hips, or just different body types in general. :) You'll get a lot more people interested in your clothes, and more buyers if you have a wider selection.
But as a start, I'd say you're doing really good. ^^ I'd definitely buy that dress if I had any hopes of fitting into it. xD
Really proud of you, hon! Good luck. :)
Woohoo! Congratulations on finally opening a shop! It's great to see it up and running like that ^^ I don't know, it's that kind of pride when you get your own creations out there for everyone to see~
Your posts are clear enough, and I think if you have more products in future, you should put them into categories. After looking at it for a while, I decided that it's definitely better to have a picture of person modeling the clothes, along with a picture of them alone. It helps with visualisation and as far as I know about marketing, people tend to think they can look good in certain clothes when they see others wearing them. You don't even have to show the model's face, if they're camera-shy; just show the whole dress.
Also, definitely a banner! And also a little description under it. In my own opinion, I'd be more inclined to buy from a shop that has all it's things sorted out with nothing missing, and the owner knows very clearly what they're doing. It's nice to see a shop with it's own flavour, I guess. A banner would look pretty anyway~ I can make you a simple one if you want! I like making stuff like that c:
I was browsing Etsy and I found this little pillow shop that's really well set up. You could use it as a role model, I guess! I think the owner is very experienced with Etsy too.
Remember to remain contactable for customers! I always find problems in contacting people I want to buy art from xD Anyways, great start, and let me ping some potential customers for you!
Thank you for pinging me here ^.^ I always love looking at the stuff people have made by hand, and @ mas has some cute things!
Best of luck with your shop ! I opened my etsy store last month, pretty nerve wracking. It may take a while to get your first sale, but don't get discouraged! It takes a while to get your stuff out there and seen. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fans after more people find out about your shop ^.^ I don't have any money to spend at the moment, but I'll watch your shop ^.^

- Thanks for the ping!
- Your clothes are cute! I've never had an online shop before, so I can't really give good advice on the webpage. I don't have money to spend on clothes, but I hope you're successful! :)

I feel like it's kind of hard to image how the clothes would look worn so I think it would help a lot if there was a photo of a person or a mannequin wearing it. I think people prefer to see how it would look when worn^^
thank you! i plan on making other ones soon hopefully, they're kind of my favorite thing to make and i have tons of extra canvas!
thanks so much! i plan on hopefully soon making a multi colored rainbow one soon! i want more geometric ideas to use and i really am excited to try out rainbow tread too! :) get in touch with me maybe i can make you something exactly the way you'd like??
i was thinking that too... i was thinking of modeling them myself or finding someone to do it for me and i take pics, but if i model them i dont really want them to look like selfies, more like someone else took the pictures. thank you for your feedback!
