Hi! A good pal-o-mine suggested I give Subeta a shot so here I am. I tried Gaia and Neopets and wasn't sold. From what he told me this game seems like the best of both worlds and better people so I will probably dig this one.
Well I have old accounts on both, and I would have to say that Subeta is by far the best. Welcome. ^^

Thanks for the warm welcome. My friend highly recommended the battle coliseum but that's their focal point in any game. I'll try it out for sure. I'm big on Halloween and he said there is some event coming up. Eager to see how that goes.
Yeah Morostide is pretty fun. You get to trick or treat other users. I've just recently gotten into battling in the Colosseum and it's pretty fun.

Yeah, Morostide is right around the corner - you'll get all the candy, pumpkins and scary items you can handle. ;]
He told me it was a bit more complicated but well rounded than Neopets. Weapons have tiers and modifications? All the stats matter haha. It always annoyed me that speed is vestigial on neo.
Speed isn't worth much here either, but they're changing it to matter more. Weapons do have tiers and mods. Tiers are only about two years old, but it helped a lot to make the system more stable.

I enjoy the rewards system here too for battling, I think Neo is catching up on that aspect, but here I like that everything counts towards something. Like your first 10 battles with any opponent gives you experience towards spending for more stats, and each and every battle gives you a chance for battle tokens to use in the shop, etc. so you don't purely have to do it for the love of just champing away, it can also be for profit x')
I LOVE Morostide (our halloween-y event) :) So much free things, special challengers, and it's pretty interactive too c:

Good lord, it's a fair bit more challenging too! Granted I'm just using a brand new pet and all but I got utterly smashed for a while haha. Seems like there's a lot more strategy to fighting in this game. That's pretty cool.
When does Morostide start? Probably too soon for me to level a pet up enough to matter haha.
What are you using right now? Red rreign staff of lore is a really nice cheap beginner weapon. Who are you trying to battle? Maybe you're being too ambitious? :9 Like trying to beat Balthazar with something you picked up from the pound on Neo :9

Holy cracker jacks, that red rreign staff changes the whole game haha. I was getting schooled by Will o Wisp until I got the red rreign. Butt Bomber one shots me every time and apparently I can't heal against Eclipse so that's a wash haha. Still trying to fish up Arnold.
who has been inactive has a pretty good set of pets with weapons listed, http://subeta.net/petinfo.php?petid=1808298 is her tier one set. Once you've got some sP, there's some basic weapons that can last you til you're capped, such as phoenix quill (full heal) etc. that will help you last longer :)
