When I'm searching an item : http://api.subeta.net/item/info?search=512MB%20RAM
It returns : {"ItemID":"512","Name":"Red Cotton Candy","Image":"http://img.subeta.net/items/item_cottoncandy_red.gif","Shop Price":"459","ShopID":"19","Rarity":"99","Description":"They usually dont stock red cotton candy!","User Price":"125000","Last Purchase Price":"9127"} which is clearly not correct.
I would have to use : http://api.subeta.net/item/info?search=3930
To return : {"ItemID":"3930","Name":"512MB RAM","Image":"http://img.subeta.net/items/ram512.gif","Shop Price":"2228","ShopID":"26","Rarity":"43","Description":"One of the best in the set, but not THE best, I'm afraid.","User Price":"3990","Last Purchase Price":"3321"}
but the documentation says : search An itemID or item name.
How would I search for 512MB RAM?
Just out of curiosity, why are you using api to search? I mean just looking at this, I would assume that since the item name starts with a number, it is searching by ID first and pulling that information. The same thing happens with things like 100 credit gift card. The only way to go around that is to know the item ID of the item you want to search and go that way.
