I really appreciate the links. 😄 And I'll be sure to save SubetaLodge for references. I look forward to checking out the art community. Hopefully I'll be skilled enough to fit right in haha.
Hey and welcome! Have you checked out the custom wearables yet? Oh and some holidays are coming up, like Morostide and Fireside. Then there's the giveaways in December.
I used to play Neopets as well. Then I came here. c:
I've never even heard or read up about the custom wearables. But now I'm super intrigued. Also, I always enjoy holiday celebrations on sites like these. They actually beat what I can get in real life, so I'm super pumped for these upcoming months.
Oh yeah me too. -_- Real life holidays are kinda boring for me. I never dress up for Halloween. Plus I get tired of the Christmas songs and whatnot.
I am not very emotionally close to my nuclear family and my relatives live a day's drive away that I cannot afford. So typical celebrations with family do not really exist. And the Christmas cheer does out stay its welcome. Especially since it starts in November nowadays haha. I do dress up for Halloween though, only because it adds a little cheer into my abysmal part time job. I am gathering up the materials I need to be a female Team Aqua Grunt from the reboot of Pokemon's Third Gen.
It seems like Christmas comes earlier every year. -_-
Oh that's awesome. I would dress up if I could make my own costume or if I had friends to go with to an awesome costume party. I'm mainly surrounded by adults who think Halloween is lame.. I'd probably be a jester or maybe one of my online avatars. :o)
It really does start sooner every year. Down where I live Halloween stuff went up in stores on September 1st, so that too seems to be developing an early start.
Hopefully down the road you'll be surrounded by less lame adults. I'm 23 and I'm actually probably the lamest adult I know. :c Jesters are always fun to dress up as. I did that once at the Ren Faire for a discount ticket. Didn't work out too well for me, though, cause too many of the employees were super in character and bothered me to make them laugh.
I hope so. I'm still young at 22, but I feel lame most of the time. I have a thing for clowns and jesters. (if you couldn't tell) Ah I miss going to the Ren Fair. I used to go to one in TN, but I stopped going. I mainly went as a child. Good times. Never dressed up or went with anyone who did, though..
Ah, don't feel lame. We're just in that kind of awkward transitioning stage of life. It will pass and then you'll feel awesome all the time. Cause you already seem pretty awesome to feel that way. :) Jesters I enjoy, but clowns can sometimes freak me out. I think I saw too many sad clown painting while growing up. My dad is a huge history buff and I'm a mini history nerd, so we sometimes travel to various state's Ren Faires depending on whether or not I'm stuck in a weekend job at the time. So we've always dressed up since I was a wee lil babe. Honestly, if you ever get the time or money, I'd suggest going to the Faire even by yourself. It may not have the most fun, but it is always a nice experience. Sometimes the one in NC has local breweries there for a beer tasting fest. xD That's the day I lost my 3DS lol.
I know some people have a fear of clowns, but that's something I will never understand. I recently moved to AZ, which I just found out has a faire in Feb-March. I'm not a beer drinker though. I remember when I was young I usually bought some jewelry and got my face painted. There was also the maze, which was interesting. I like giant corn field mazes, which are always popular around this time of the year. I would like to go to one this year if I could find one. Probably not going to happen though. I'm glad old, historical type things still exist in this techno modern world. c:
Feb-March sounds like a good time to hold such an event out in AZ. I'm sure any later and the heat would be intense. At least AZ has a dry heat, unlike GA. This humid heat kills me. I miss PA so much sometimes because of it. I feel some of the shows got better as an adult, like the Ded Bob show and such. I, too, enjoy the maze and I used to collect ocarinas and fox tails from my visits. Sadly, I lost a lot of those to friends and moves over the years. There are a lot more historical like events than you may know, which is also ultra refreshing. Re-enactors like my dad hosts tons and tons of events; we used to go to at least seven a year, but were often invited to twelve or more. It is nice to know not everyone and everything is in the grip of technology, cause I know even computer-addicted me needs breaks. I gotta run off to class, but I'd love to talk some more over sMail or something sometime. :3
Oh yeah. The heat here can be brutal. I miss the rain a lot, and back home in TN, although I did get tired of the humidity in the summer! My favorite item bought was a necklace of a dragon claw holding a red marble. I lost it though. I must admit I'm pretty addicted to computers. Who isn't? I'm online usually every day since I don't go to school and haven't gotten a job yet. Sure, feel free to comment/message me anytime. :D
Welcome! This place is MUCH better than Neopets!
[tot=Mish]
Welcome to subeta. Neopets who? :D Just kidding. But it's 10000x better here. Hope you love it!
